The Voice

It's been a week and I still am ignoring Hikaru. I haven't eaten anything in 3 days. I walked into the school.

I was fighting to keep myself awake. I haven't slept since the last time I saw Hikaru. That was 5 days ago. He tried to talk to me but I ignored him.

The school day went by slowly. After class was over I started walking out of the school. My head was dizzy.

"Kairi!" I heard Hikaru call. I sped up my walk.

Bad idea. I stopped. My head was spinning. Hikaru came on front of me. He was saying something but I could t hear what he said. I'm gonna pass out. I looked at Hikaru and he looked worried.

He said something and tried to put his hand on me but I started to walk away. He followed me so I tried to go faster.

My vision started going black and Hikaru was in front of me and stopped me. My legs gave out and I dropped to the floor. When I hit the ground everything went black.

~Hikaru P.O.V.~

"Kairi!" I called. I haven't seen her in a week. I need to talk to her.

She sped up her walk then suddenly stopped. I ran in front of her.

"Kairi. I need to talk to you. Please. Stop running away and ignoring me." I pleaded. She didn't answer.

She just stood there. She wast even looking at me. It didn't seem that she was hearing anything I was saying. She didn't look good either. Her eyes were bloodshot and there were dark circles around them. She looked sick.

"Kairi? Are you okay?" I asked and tried to put my hand on her shoulder.

She quickly moved away and started walking away. I ran on front of her and stopped her.

"Kairi. You don't look good." I said and she dropped to her knees.

"Kairi!" I said as I went down to her. "Kairi. Kairi." I called but she just sat there.

Then she dropped to the ground. She passed out. I picked her up in my arms and ran to my limo. I got in quickly. Kauru was in there waiting or me.

"Get us to a hospital! Now!" I yelled at the driver and we took off.

"Hikaru. What's wrong with her?" Kauru asked looking at Kairi.

"I-I don't know. She- she just passed out." I said.

We got to the hospital and me and Kauru ran inside. Nurses were with us within seconds and Kairi was taken from me. She was put onto a bed and rolled away.

I just stood there. Watching them take her away. Kauru was talking to me. He must have noticed I wasn't listening because he pulled me away from where I was standing. He sat me in a chair and got on the phone.

It seemed I was sitting there for hours. I hadn't noticed all the other hosts were here. They were trying to say things to me. But it just seemed my whole world was in slow motion and I couldn't hear anything.

I sat there. Doing nothing. Saying nothing.

~Kairi P.O.V.~

I was in darkness. I could hear noises around me. But I just could hear. All I could see was darkness. All I could feel was darkness.

"Ms. Riku. Come on Ms. Riku. You can do this. Wake up." I heard someone say. Must have been a nurse.

I tried to wake up. I just couldn't. I just stayed there. In the darkness. I don't want to be here. But maybe I should.

Get up.

Why?

He needs you.

Who does?

He loves you.

Who?

Wake up. For him.

For who?

You know who.

I don't.

You do. Who do you love? That you've been ignoring.

I don't know!

Think.

I can't. I don't know.

Yes. Get up.

Suddenly I saw a bright light blind me. I looked up and saw a light. Everything around me was white. Where am I?
