I woke up and saw Hikaru sitting at the foot of my bed. I stared at him for a while. He hadn't noticed I woke up.
"Watcha doin?" I asked and he jumped a little.
"Waiting for you to wake up." He smiled.
"Why?" I asked.
"I'm taking you somewhere today. We're spending the day together. So get up and get ready." He said.
"How'd you get in here?" I asked as I sat up.
"Kara let me in." He smiled.
"Of course." I laughed and went into my restroom to get ready.
After a while I came out wearing jeans and a tank top. I put on my converse and decided to leave my hair down.
I walked out and Hikaru was still sitting at the foot of my bed.
"Have you been sitting there the whole time?" I asked. He nodded.
"Okay. Well, let's go." I smiled he got up and walked over to me.
He put his fingers in my belt loops and pulled me close to him. There was rarely any space between us. I looked up at him. He leaned down and kissed me.
"I love you my angel." He said when he pulled away.
"I love you too." I smiled.
We walked out to the limo. Hikaru got in first and when I got in he pulled me down so I was laying on his lap.
"Hello there." I said up to him. He laughed and held my hand.
Hikaru was looking out the window. He looked like something was troubling him.
"Is something wrong?" I asked and sat up.
"Hmm? Oh. No. Nothing's wrong." He said. He didn't even look at me.
"Are you sure?" I asked. He turned to me and kissed my cheek.
"I'm sure." He smiled. I could see the falseness in his smile.
I'm sure something's bothering him but he obviously doesn't want to talk about it. I spent the while car ride wondering what was bothering him.
I hadn't noticed we stopped in the middle of a big field. There was just grass for miles. We got out and there was a picnic set up. The limo drove away.
"Want some food?" Hikaru asked with a smile. He was smiling but I could see it in his eyes that something's wrong.
"Sure." I smiled and sat down. When we finished eating I was laying on him and his arms were wrapped around me.
"Hikaru?" I asked.
"Yes, Kairi?" he said.
"Why won't you tell me what's wrong?" I asked and turned to look at him.
"What? There's nothing wrong." He said.
"Hikaru. I can see that something's bothering you." I said.
"There's nothing bothering me Kairi." He lied.
"Hika-" he cut me off.
"There's nothing wrong with me Kairi!! So leave me alone!" He yelled. I fell silent. He's never yelled at me.
I know he snaps at people but he's never snapped at me before. I just sat there silently.
He suddenly unwrapped his arms from me and moved so he was sitting on his knees right in front of me.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you." He said. His hair made a dark shadow in front of his eyes. "There is something wrong."
"Them tell me. I want to help you." I said and grabbed his hands in mine. He held my hands tightly.
"I can't tell you." He said.
"Why not? I don't care what you say. It won't stop me from loving you or wanting to help you." I said. He looked up at me. His eyes were brimming with tears.
"You know I love you. Right?" he said.
"Of course I do." I said. "Now tell me."
"My father....... He's setting up an arranged marriage for me." He said.
