Diary,

I... I don't know what to do. I'm so confused that I... I just... today my parents told me that they were getting a divorce. I just... I knew that they were both having affairs, but I didn't think that it would cause them to divorce. I mean... neither of them were very happy about my... homosexuality and whenever they were home they would give me unimpressed looks and generally ignore me.

I just...

What if neither of them want me? What do I do then?

Mum and dad's arguing has been non-stop for days. I-I don't know what to do anymore! I just... I have to get out of here. I found a backpack and threw some clothes in it, shrugging it on my shoulder. I then slipped on a pair of converse and climbed out of my window. Before you ask, no; I'm not running away. I'm only going to Evie's. She'll let me stay a night or two. After all, her parents love me.

I have to count my blessings that she only lives around the corner. It's actually quite useful when it came to ultra important conversations that couldn't be said over the phone!

I banged on her door only to find no answer. Come to think of it, there were no lights on either.

Gritting my teeth, I pulled my mobile from my pocket only to find a text from Evie awaiting. I opened it.

Hii babycakes,

I'm of to my grandparents' for the week!
Miss you alreadyy!

Lovee Evie!

Well, stuff you, Evie bear. With a huff I called the one person I hoped not to call.

Hello?”

“Waah! Matty! Mummy and Daddy are getting a divorce and, and they won't stop yelling at each other and it was giving me a headache and making me sad, so I decided to stay at Evie's for a night or two but then I found out that she's staying at her grandparents' house for the week and now I'm all alone in the dark and don't want to go home!!” I said in one big breath and started crying.

Uh, oh. I see. Alright, stay at Evie's and I'll pick you up in a minute. I just have to drop Chloe home.”

I blinked and instantly stopped crying. “Chloe?”

Yeah, Chloe. My girlfriend?”

Oh. My. God. Slut's name is Chloe? My god. I have to tell diary later. “Oh yeah. Okay, well don't take too long. It's cold.”

I'll be there in a minute. Bye.”

He then hung up.

Siiiigh. I sat on Evie's front step and waited for Matty to arrive.

He did. Almost fifteen minutes later. I saw him pull up and stood up, picking up my backpack and trudging over to his car. I climbed into the front passenger seat and closed the door, putting my seat belt on.

“Sorry I took so long. Chloe didn't want to... err let me go.”
I looked at him and instantly zoned in on his neck. There was lipstick marks. On. His. Neck. That bitch!

“Was she trying to deflower you, Matty?” I asked innocently. I'm not innocent though. That's just the facade I use to make others believe. At least Matty does. I'm his adorable, innocent nephew who he adores.... and whom I hope wants to do naughty things with... hehehe.

He went bright red. “I... err... no. You see, I'm Twenty Seven, so I was deflowered a very long time ag-wait, actually it's none of your business. Shut up.”

I stuck my tongue out at him and stared out the window as we traveled down the yellow brick road to see the Wizard of Oz!

Okay, not really, but it would be pretty awesome if we were.

“Soo, is your bathroom still leaking?” I asked as an attempt to make conversation.

“No, Adam. That was fixed almost a week ago,” He laughed and mock-punched my arm.

I grinned cheekily before fiddling with his radio, changing stations every two seconds, looking for good music.

I didn't though, but I did find a funky Opera station that I kept on to annoy Matty with. It worked. He kept twitching and gritting his teeth. It was funny!

We soon arrived at Matty's and went inside. I put my bag in the spare room while Matty made me hot chocolate.

“Do you have the little marshmallows?” I asked as I entered the kitchen.

He nodded and smiled at me over his shoulder. “I wouldn't offer hot chocolate without them.”

YAAY! Matty knows me so well! I sat at the Island bench and started bouncing in my seat to non-existent music when he place the mug in front of me. It was green which is my favorite colour.

“So, what's this about your parents getting a divorce?” He asked.

I frowned and stared at the marshmallows in my mug. “They've been home more often lately and have been having all these fights, and this afternoon they told me that they were getting a divorce. I mean, I'm aware that dad sleeps with his secretary and that Mum sleeps around with young men like the cougar she is, but I didn't think that it would lead to a divorce. I mean, they just seemed happy!”

“I actually didn't think you knew about the affairs...” He murmured with a frown.

I shrugged. “I don't think they do either.”

“I understand that you're upset about the divorce. Do you know who you'll stay with?”

“Neither,” I decided. When Matty rose an eyebrow, I explained. “Neither Mum nor Dad were happy when I told them that I was gay. Whenever they're home they look at me in disappoint me and tend to avoid me. When it comes to the divorce I know that neither will want to take me and will try to shove me onto the other.”

“Don't think like that, Adam. Your parents love you.”

“Yes but they hate that I'm gay,” I huffed. “It's bad for their 'image'.”

“Have they said that?” He asked.

“No, but it's certainly implied, but, whatever. I'm eighteen and finish school in a few months. I'll just move out of home.”

“And where will you go?”

I frowned. “I don't know... maybe see if Evie wants to rent an apartment with me.”

“Apartments are expense-”

Matty!” I whined and pouted. “Stop butting in!”

He held his hands up in surrender.

I huffed. “I'll sort something out eventually. I don't want to talk about it right now.”

“Okay, okay,” He laughed.

I huffed and drank my hot chocolate. Mmm... Matty makes the bestest hot chocolate ever... maybe I should move here.

Hehe... move in with Matty... what a wonderful idea! Hmm... I shall keep this idea in mind!

“It's getting late. Have you had dinner?” Matty asked suddenly.

I shook my head. “No, but I'm not hungry. I think I might just go to bed.”

“Alright. Let me know if you aren't warm enough and I'll grab you another blanket.”

I nodded and drank the rest of my drink, licking my lips. I hopped down form the stool, pausing for a moment and turning back to Matty. I grinned. “Just a warning; if I have a nightmare I'm climbing into your bed!”

I then skipped off with out another word.
