I should probably tell you guys a little bit about myself. My name is Clark Thompson and I'm 17 years old. My dream is to become as big of a star like my idol, Elvis Presley. I have looked up to him ever since I was a little kid listening to his hits with my parents on their record player, or in the car. Yes, they're old school, don't judge them... only I'm allowed to do that...

Elvis has kept my dad and I together ever since mom passed away a few years ago. I miss her a lot. Dad has pushed my dream on me a little too much. He has set up everything I know, for instance, I have a gig next week at the bar downtown. Am I nervous? Yes, absolutely, but I can't let him know that. He hasn't cared too much about me. He's just using me for money to get booze and cigarettes. Sometimes I wish it was him that died in that accident, not mom. At least I have a place to live until I finish high school, and there is a girl that I want to be my girlfriend, but that jerk Mike Davidson, the all high and mighty star quarterback for the football team, and a pretty crappy guy to be around, is dating her already. Without his talent, the entire county would call the team the Shit-Squad instead of the Middleton Yellowjackets.

Great... another day at paradise. Well, off to calculus I go. At least I next to Rachel Peterson, the girl of my dreams that Mike is dating... Things can't be too bad then, can they?
