"Y-you could see me?" I ask with my voice trembling.

Still looking at me with wide eyes, she replies,

"Y-yeah... and you can see me?"

She points to herself.

I nod my head up and down slowly.

I take a step closer to her and she takes a step back.

I stop and stand in place.

"I'm not going to hurt you. I-I, well, you're the only other spirit I've encountered with."

"Is that why other people can't see me?"

"Yeah."

She then starts to look distressed. She squats down and grabs the side of her hair.

"What? I'm still in that coma then. I haven't woken up yet."

"Wait, you remember?"

She looks up to me confused.

"Yeah, I remember that I fell on my head on something.  I guess the impact was so hard, it caused me into a coma."

"So you're still alive."

She nods.

"And I think my body is over there."

She points across the river to the hospital.

I turn around to look and look back to her.

"So why aren't you trying to go back?"

She then looks down to the ground and then back up to me.

She laughs nervously and replies,

"Oh, heh, oh yeah, didn't think about that yet."

I just smiled slightly and it became awkwardly quiet.

"How about you? Why are you a spirit?"

I look up to her.

"I-I, I don't know. I've been wandering for a month."

Her eyes widen from my words.

"A month? Me too!"

I get surprised.

"Really? Why am I only meeting you now?"

"I don't know."

It becomes awkwardly quiet again. People are just walking past us.

"I'm sorry."

I looked to her confused.

"Why?"

"Because you don't know why you're a spirit."

I look to my feet and I respond,

"It's fine."

It becomes awkward again. We both just look at our feet, just standing there.

"I'm, uh, Sola by the way."

"I'm Hoseok."

"Nice to meet you Hoseok."

We both just stood there, smiling at one another.

"Well, I'm going to go to the hospital and try to get back into my body."

She turns around and starts walking away.

"Wait!"

I reach my arm out and she turns around.

"Yeah?"

I nervously look to the ground and I try to bring the words out of my mouth.

"I, Uh, I know we just met, but I'd like to see you off. Since you're the only one who can see me."

I look back to the ground, waiting for rejection, but to my surprise, I get an unexpected answer.

"Yeah, sure."

She smiles softly to me and her eyes sparkle, like the sun beaming onto the river.

A smile starts to grow on my face from her reply. She gestures for me to follow her. I walk up to her and we start to walk through the park.

I suddenly don't feel lonely anymore.
