"....D-Death?!"
He walks closer to us slowly. I keep Sola behind me, fearing he might do something.
To my surprise, Sola rushes up in front of me and yells to him.
"We're not ready yet! Please let us get closure before we do!"
He then stops in place and starts to laugh.
"Why are humans so scared of me? I'm only a guide to cross you over."
We both look to each other with confused looks.
"Look, you two. I get it. You're not ready for goodbyes and what not. But you guys already had a month to find out. I think playtimes over."
Sola grips onto my hand harder. I could see it in her face she wasn't going to take no as an answer.
"No! Please, please give us time to find answers. Please, I beg you!"
Death just looks at her with wide eyes, he then smirks at us and starts to laugh.
"Alright, alright. You got one week."
Sola's face turns bright, she looks to me and smiles widely.
"Hoseok! We can do it. One week!"
I look towards Death and he's just looking at his fingers.
"Uh, thank you."
He looks up to me and just scoffs.
"Well, let me tell you one thing."
Sola then gives him a curious look.
"What is it?"
He points to Sola.
"Well you, you can return to your body."
He then looks to me up and down.
"But you, you have to cross over. You're already dead."
Those words made me feel empty. As much as I wanted Sola to return back to her body, I didn't want to be alone. But I can't be selfish.
"Wait! I tried, but I couldn't go back in!"
Death just laughs and turns his back to us.
"Like you said, you both need closure. He needs it to crossover, and you need it to go back to your body. So find your answers, or else I'll have to take you."
Sola then looks to the ground. She then looks up to me.
"Hoseok, I can go back! I can go back into my body!"
