Honestly, they just get better after the "Pure my ass" one. Thx.

"...but you'll need to spend less time in games..." Mikey says but I avert my attention from his annoying talk to the people walking down the hall.
Ugh, I'm so tired of his talk, he's been babbling since we left for lunch about how I should do all the homework to finish my high school properly. 'It won't be worth it if you give up on the last year'. He always says.
Sighing, I look at the people either talking with their friends or getting their materials on their lockers - also with friends - and maybe... just there alone. Why is she alone?
I start walking slowly while gazing at her. In really, I've never really seen her- Wait, I have. But she's always alone, quiet. That's why I've never noticed her... maybe I should try to talk with her. And that's also a good way to get away from Mikey.
"Hm, Mikey." I say stopping to walk and tuning to him, "I've got some things to do. See you later."
"Gerard- but Gee-" He tries to stop me but it's too late since I'm already walking away.
I approach the girl and stand by her - on the locker's door side - fidgeting with my bag's strap. "Um..." I start awkwardly, "Hi. I'm Gerard and, um, how are you-" I interrupt myself as she closes her locker and walks away.
Wow, that was rude. - I furrow my eyebrows. - Maybe she didn't see me there. I was practically behind the locker's door and I should've spoken in a higher tone.
I have to try again.
~
I sit down on my desk in Physics as I wait for the period to start. Some students are still getting in the classroom and my eyes widen slightly when I see the girl I tried to talk with earlier.
She begins walking closer - probably to get on her desk in the back - and I smile, greeting her. And guess what? Ignored again.
I shake my head, pressing my lips together, and look back, watching her take a seat two desks behind me.
~~~
Okay, new day, new opportunities- why am I so determined to get her to talk with me? It's the sixth day I'm trying to get to do it. She ignored me in each one of the past five.
Let's forget about this for now, hm?
I walk down the main hall trying to simultaneously avoid Mikey and find the girl. Shit, I haven't even found out her name.
When the bell rings, I have no option apart from running to class and talking with her later.
Fortunately, I wasn't the only one arriving when the bell rang so I didn't need to give the Geography teacher any excuse.
Now I need a desk- Oh, the girl! Plus, there's an empty seat by her! - I speed walk until the desk and sit down, looking at her by the corner of my eye, analyzing as she writes something down on her notebook.
I suck in a breathe to start talking but am interrupted by the teacher who starts the class. I sigh and wait patiently.
.
The teacher just gave us some questions to answer and I enjoy the 'free' time - let's put it like this - to write a note and throw it at the girl's desk.
Why do you always ignore me? - I wrote.
She's startled at first but grabs the small ball of paper and opens it, reading the message.
Her eyes widen slightly as she presses her lips together. She raises her head to look around and sees me looking at her. She 'ooh's and and points to her ears.
What? What is that supposed to mean? - I furrow my eyebrows, giving her a confused look.
She shakes her head smiling and writes something down on the paper, giving it to me.
I'm deaf. - It reads.
Oh, that explains a lot!
Grabbing my pencil again, I write I'm sorry on the free space and hand it back to her.
She chuckles lightly reading it and gives it to me again after leaving her message.
No problem. Do you want to talk? We can do it after class, it's lunch period anyways. - I read the message and look at her, with a small smile and nodding.
~
Here I stand in front of her. Wondering how will I talk with her.
I move to grab a pencil and a notebook on my bag when her hand is placed over my forearm, stopping me.
"I can't hear, but I can talk and read your lips." I hear her voice and look at her, slightly surprised. "Just speak slowly, please."
It's... not weird but different isn't the proper word stil...
Her voice is beautiful and she talks perfectly, no one would believe a deaf person can talk like that.
I've already seen some people talking about organizations that help deaf people talking but never really thought about it.
Amazing, I believe.
I straighten myself and look at her. "Um... I'm Gerard. What's your name?" I speak as she requested.
"I'm (y/n). Sorry for not noticing you." She scratches the back of her head.
"It's okay." I say, "Now I know the real reason."
"I'm glad." (Y/n) smiles.
And after that talk, I knew I didn't want to leave her. It's crazy, I know, we just had met, but this feeling at my chest told it all.
I love the way she moves her hands when she talks. Her slightly exaggerated articulation to pronounce the words. The way she looks at us attentiously to understand what we're saying.
Some people say it is a flaw. I say it's another form of perfection.
