"Where are we going today?"

"I was planning in something about a really interesting planet I've remembered about recently," The Doctor looks up from the TARDIS console, glancing at me. "it's all made of bushes."

"Bushes?" I raise an eyebrow, trying to picture the planet in my mind. "Peculiar."

"You'll like it." He grins excited and I tilt my head, smiling.

Soon, the TARDIS is landing again. "Woosh, woosh..." I mutter in sync with the sound produced by the ship, standing up from the chairs and heading to the doors.

The Doctor follows, reaching me when I'm already a few feet away from the door. "What's that?" He asks with a chuckle and I hold back a grin.

"The sound the TARDIS makes. But now, c'mon," I start to open the door, "I'm anxious to see this planet and..." I trail off after I step out of the TARDIS and notice we're not in the said planet. "This is Earth." Confused, I turn to the Doctor. "We're in Earth!" I scoff. - The whole universe, the whole timeline just for us to fall right in my planet and my time.

"Well," The Doctor furrows his eyebrows as eyeing our surroundings and closes the door behind him. "this is certainly unexpected. Or not," He shrugs, "TARDIS never brings us anywhere because of nothing." A big grin starts forming on his lips and his voice holds the same emotion, exactly like how it gets when he knows we're going to get in an adventure again. "Let's go, (y/n)!" He takes my hand in his as starting to walk, "Some alien is out there waiting to be found out!"

We start walking away from where the TARDIS landed - near to a light post in a neighborhood, but no one seems to be walking by. A bit weird, maybe understandable.

"(Y/n)." The Doctor calls when we're passing by a wall full of posters. Some are of local concerts, events and most of them are about missing children.

"Oh," I say seeing the address in one of the posters, "we're in England."

"Fantastic!" He exclaims, "I missed it here." I'm about to question about this, however, he speaks up first, serious this time. "But look here. It's our first clue. Children going missing." His eyebrows raise for a moment.

"I wonder what's behind it this time." I comment, thoughtful.

"The police has already given up on it," The Doctor and I look up startled by the unfamiliar voice and see a woman standing there. "not like they care enough." I wonder how did we not notice her approaching. Probably she lives in one of the houses nearby, plus the Doc and I were distracted.

"Well," The Doctor smiles, adjusting his posture - automatically, I do the same - and pulls out his psychic paper, "consider yourselves lucky."

She reads the words written on the paper and raises her eyebrows. "I'm glad at least Interpol decided to care." She opens a smile. "Odd thing you're American, tho."

"The British ones were busy already." I say awkwardly, "But of course." I nod, "The local police is too imprudent to ignore something like this. We would also like to hear some from the people who were involved in this. Maybe the parents from the disappeared kids or something."

Her eyes widen lightly, "You're talking with the right person."

She seems a bit apprehensive when looking around and inviting us to inside her house. In the way, she presents herself as Mrs. Williams. The Doc and I sit down in the kitchen table as she gets some papers and show us; turns out she's the mother of one of the disappeared kids and how she was attached to the child, she is determined to find the responsible for the disappearance and her daughter again. She is investigating by herself. No wonder why her appearance is so tired and worried.
