ғᴏʀᴛʏ-sᴇᴠᴇɴ. ᴠᴇʀɴᴏɴ ʜɪʟʟs!

                    DAISY WAS NERVOUS. it was not that she had not met david's family before, in fact, his family absolutely loved her. they treated her like she was apart of the family, which was definitely more than could ever ask for. daisy had met his family so many times throughout the years in chicago and in la, but every time she had met them, she had been david's friend. david's best friend. alex's little sister. she was everything except his girlfriend, which she was right now.

she was jittery on the way to the airport and she was jittery on the plane on the way to chicago. her knees constantly knocking against david's from the nerves and her constant need to be moving around. david could not help, but laugh inside at his girlfriend asking him questions about his parents that she could easily answer herself. and do not forget the questions she was asking about his siblings.

daisy had met the entire dobrik family multiple times before and she knew them well enough to answer any question –but david amused her by answering each and every question, knowing that that would help with any anxieties she was having.

she was also jittery on the car ride to david's childhood home. it was bizarre to think that she would be meeting her boyfriend's parents. her boyfriend's parents. boyfriend's parents. that was just such a bizarre concept to daisy and she thinks she might never get over the fact that she had a boyfriend, who had parents that she would meet. even though this was not the first time she was meeting david's family –who she had an excellent relationship with, having had their numbers in her phone for years now, this was the first time she had ever met a boyfriend's parents.

      " what if they don't like the idea that we're dating? "    she asks from the backseat of ilya's car, glaring at the back of her boyfriend's head. she did not understand how david was so chill about his girlfriend meeting his parents. she swore that he was an alien or something.

ilya laughs at this comment,   " daisy, palo and kristina fucking adore you. i think they like you more than they like david. "    david's just shaking his head at this comment, because he knows that it might actually be true and that is the reason he was not nervous. his parents loved daisy and he thinks that they will be happy that he is bringing home a girl that they actually like.

      " babe, i think they might even ask for grand kids already, "  david laughs and that makes ilya laugh harder.   " so i don't think we need to be worried at all for whether or not they'll like you. they'd exchange me for you, no doubt. "

      " oh shut up, "   daisy just scoffs, laughing gently at the comments. maybe she would not have to be so stressed about the meeting, she had met them before, so it would not be as intimidating as an official first meeting.

ilya shakes his head,  " you're dumb, daisy, if you're stressing about this. "  that just earns him a head shaking chuckle from david, with a slap on the back of the head and a middle finger from daisy, who sighs deeply.

      " you're one to talk, ilya, "   she says and that just makes the car fill up with laughter coming from each one of them. ilya had definitely missed hanging out with david and daisy. and this was the first time he was hanging out with them, when they were a couple and he was not surprised at all to see how perfectly the two of them fit together. it was definitely like they were meant to be.
