*Hayleys POV*
I was depressed and it was showing.. I wouldn't eat, I wouldn't sleep, I couldn't even take care of my son! If it wasn't for Colby I don't know what I might have done to myself....
Whoever said time heals lied, more and more days passed and I was just getting more and more depressed... not being able to wake up next to Jake in the morning or not being able to watch him play with our son anymore....
Colby tried to make me happy but with all his effort it never worked...
"I know you're still deeply depressed, but I feel like this is something you deserve to know..." Colby said while looking down...
"Jake and I were on our way home from the jewelry store..."
"Wait why was you at the jewelry store??"
I said confused
"Look I'm not sure how to really tell you this, but Jake was going to propose.." Colby looked up at me with tears in his eyes... "he so desperately wanted to marry you .... I ..I .. I'm so sorry"
I thought to myself *that must have been the reason why he proposed to me as soon as he woke up. tears start rolling down my face uncontrollably I try to stop myself but I feel so overwhelmed
Colby was quick to comfort me
"Mommy why you cry" my son said .... I couldn't even look at him and tell him why I couldn't bring myself to but I knew I had to tell him so I said "mommy just misses daddy, and wants him to hurry back"
"Daddy still gone to heaven?"
"Yes, Jacob..."
"Why me?" I thought "why did it had to happen to me I loved him so much and now he's gone what did I do to deserve this I've always been so good to everybody...." I said to Colby trying not to fumble my words...
"Look everything is going to be alright I promise you , we can work through this together"... to be continued
