Breeze

There was almost nothing she loved most than to ride on Stormfly, feeling the warmth of the sun on her skin, mixed with the soft breeze. In fact, the only thing, or well, person Astrid loved most was the dork flying next to her, lying on his Night Fury, gazing at the clouds.

"I got to admit, you were right. Getting some time alone, away from everyone's questions and strange concerns just... I can finally breathe!" Hiccup ranted. She knew he missed the time when he only had the riders to manage and not a whole village and the time when he could go to his dad for advice. Still, he had adapted to being Berk's chief quite admirably and had brought some new dragons to the island.

"Of course I was right," Astird retorted, to which he replied by a smile. "What do you say we stop there?" she pointed to a small island from which she knew they would have an amazing view of the sunset.

"I think that's a wonderful idea," Hiccup said and gave Toothless a small nudge. The Night Fury followed by the Nadder flew directly to the peaceful island.

* * *

Hiccup led Astrid through the trees and to the edge of the island. The only sounds of birds and waves crashing on the beach were like music to their ears. They stopped, taking the beauty of the sun setting and the sky turning to shades of orange and pink. Hiccup turned to her beloved, crashing his lips onto hers in a sudden but smooth movement. He slipped his arms around her waist, bringing her as close as he could. She wrapped her arms around his neck and he lifted her up, for a second, until he put his weight on his fake leg and lost balance. A second later, they both were on the ground, Astrid punching his shoulder and laughing.

"I'll make a note not to do that next time," Hiccup mumbled, leaning on his elbows, but Astrid crashed her lips on his and pushed him to the ground again. He laughed inbetween two kisses and she then let herself fall next to him. They laid there, on their backs, watching the clouds move slowly.

"Can we come here alone more often?" Astrid sighed. "It's just... perfect!"

"It is," he replied, entertwining their fingers.

Three clicking sounds had Hiccup moving in a matter of seconds over Astrid, to protect her, even if he knew that she was a force of nature and could defend herself quite possibly better than him.

"What-" Astrid started.

"We're not alone," he spoke as a Triple Stryke came out from the trees. Hiccup helped her get up and they both ran.

"TOOTHLESS!" Hiccup yelled as Astrid called for her dragon, which had both stayed at a watering hole in the middle of the forest. They barely had anything to defend themselves with, even if they had no itention of harming the dragon.

Astrid led him to hide behind a huge rock as the Triple Stryke shrieked.

"Come on bud..." Hiccup muttered. He was still ready to go out and do his trick if it came to it, but he'd rather just fly back with Astrid, without risking of being attacked.

A bright purple beam crashed not so far from them. Toothless had shot close but not enough to harm the dragon, but only to scare him. Stormfly had added spine shots, for the Stryke to back away. The couple ran to their dragons and mounted them in no time. They were up in the sky, on their way back to Berk.

"Guess we'll have to find another island, huh?" Astrid said, when they had put enough distance between the and the occupied island.

"Maybe someday we'll get more than an hour of peace and quiet," Hiccup teased.

A little shorter and really simlle but I hope you liked it! Make sure to leave your thoughts in the comments or maybe some ideas/requests of stuff you'd like me to write about these two!
