7 : Perfect Morning

Astrid had been awake for a good ten minutes, but laid still on the bed not to wake Hiccup. When her stomach started gurgling, she rolled on her side and sat. Her bare feet touched the cold ground. She felt his strong arms wrap around her waist.

"Good morning," she whispered and looked behind her to see her boyfriend that looked half-asleep.

"Stay in bed," he asked her softly. She bit her lip.

"I'm hungry. I'll just go grab something," she said.

"Please?" he asked again, with that smile that she could not resist. "Five more minutes and then I'll make you breakfast," he added.

The thought of the warmth of the covers and his embrace was enough for Astrid to roll back into bed. She laid her head on his shoulders and he wrapped his arms around her. With his hand, he started stroking her long hair. She laid her hand on his chest, right over his heart. He brought his lips to her forehead in a gentle kiss.

"What are you up to today?" she asked.

"Well, uh... You know what, not much," he replied. His voice still was hoarse.

"Well that's a first," she teased. "But you really don't have any chiefly duties?"

"Nope. We could finally spend the day together," he said. "We haven't done that in a while,"

Astrid's smile was up to her ears.

"I'll do anything you want after breakfast," she replied and her stomach gurgled, as if in response. Both of them laughed. He kissed her forehead once more.

"Do you want to go on a ride? Or stay in Berk?" he asked softly.

"I want food," she teased again. Hiccup smiled.

"Noted. Just stay a minute longer," he asked.

They laid there, silently. Astrid listened to Hiccup's steady heartbeat. She gently tightened her grip around his waist.

"This is perfect," she whispered.
