"Yes Angus. Of course I"ll marry you!"

"I've been wanting to marry you for a damn long time Holl." Angus slipped the ring on her finger and admired the way it glowed in the moonlight.

"Who knew we'd end up back together again, let alone engaged!"

"Amazing ain't it."

"Guess that means I'm not going back to New York. Ain't got no reason to anyways. Except Patrica."

Angus frowned. "Guess neither of us had thought of that huh?"

"No we didn't. Well I have to stay a while longer anyways. Court case involving an old friend."

"Can I ask you something?"

"Of course."

"Do you think you would've been happy if you married...Thomas is that his name?"

"Maybe for a short while. People are either meant to be together or they're not. Thomas will find someone else that's better for him. As for me well, I already did."

Angus smiled and then kissed her.

"Seriously what's on your mind Holly? Why are you all smiley?" Veronica tapped her fingers on the office table.

"It's nothing at all Veronica. The case looks promising for you to win." Holly changed her grin to more of a formal business smile.

"Yeah okay good. Couldn't stand him doing it to anyone else."

"It's bad enough he did it once."

"Yeah you're right. It's a good thing we're takin' him down."
