Chapter Five: I Won't Give Up

"I'm sorry Angus I'm so sorry."

"It's fine." Angus snapped in reply to Malcolm

"Angus its not fine, you're crying."

"Yeah well you would too if you found out the women you love wants absolutely nothing to do with you!"

"Angus...both you and Holly...well..."

"What Mal?"

"You've gotta move on Angus. I know you've tried, you really have but..."

Angus cut him off. "Malcolm I don't want to fuckin hear it okay?"

Malcolm took a deep breath. "Okay."

Holly and Patrica had a silent breakfast. Dealing with the regret, and the assumption that she'd hurt Angs and---destroyed him was enough, seeing the damage she had actually done and how displeased he was to see her was too much.

But she had to somehow remember that Angus was just a guy. There had been guys before him, and there's a guy after him. Who could be the one.

Holly finally spoke up. "I've made my choice."

"About what?" Patrica took a sip of her coffee.

"About Thomas."

"You've gotta move on Angus!" Angus mocked his brothers words as he sat himself down at his kitchen table. "Cuz that's so fuckin' easy!"

Angus then remembered he was talking to himself.

He watched the window for a bit, but soon got bored just watching birds fly by.

"So you're gonna marry Thomas huh?" Patrica forced a grin to form through her tensing muscles on her face.

"Uh huh. Best damn thing to ever happen to me. You know how I feel about that man." Holly smiled thinking about him. "He's the one. I just know it."

Patrica sighed quietly but quickly smiled.

"I'm happy for you Holly. We should celebrate."

"Yeah I'd like that."

Patrica knew that Thomas wasn't the one---well she was pretty sure, and since she wasn't 100% sure she didn't say anything to Holly.

"Wonder who still lives here."

"Well.. Kaityln still keeps this as home base, Valerie does too, and obvisoly Jessica."

"We should party like the old days. We should invite the guys too."

Holly glared at her for a second, Patrica again regretted what she said.

"I suppose it's not a terrible idea." Holly said reluctantly

"It was just an idea Holly we don't have to."

"Whatever you want Patrica. Well..who's throwing the party?"
