Chapter 8

I haven't seen Aurora for days, ensuring I gave attention to the others in her family as she requested...but those few days felt like an eternity especially since I found myself constantly thinking of her, and if I wasn't thinking of her I was having nightmares featuring her in it.

I hated myself for being so infatuated with her, the more I tried to come up with facts to hate her, the more I found facts not to hate her... and the more I tried to deny I liked her, the more irritated I became so I went back to Aurora's home. Partly It was to see her again but mostly it was to find a reason to dismiss my growing feelings for her.

When I arrived she didn't seem to be home but I found the door wide open. Varyingly I walked into the house, searching for her or anything else that may be suspicious, that when I noticed the glass patio doors were also slid wide open. A cool breeze filled the lounge. It was already dark with only the moon's light illuminating the beach.

I stepped out onto the patio, just as she was emerging from the ocean. She had gone for a swim and slowly made her way out from the sea... as she walked back towards the house, the moonlight gleaming of her pale skin, I noticed that she was naked.

I didn't know how to react, she had already seen me so running back into the house would be childish... staring at her would be embarrassing and somewhat perverse. So I did the only thing that made sense, I turned my back to her, leaning back against the railing of the patio, and lit a cigarette, inhaling deeply to calm my nerves.

It wasn't long before she was walking up the patio steps and came to stand next to me, dripping wet, and making no effort to cover herself.

Aurora: "Evening Mr. Black"

Me: "Evening" is all I managed to say while looking at everything around the patio, except her.

Aurora: "Mr. Black, is something wrong?"

Me: "Aurora...please cover yourself" I stated somewhat annoyed because she didn't seem to fathom how she made people feel.

She reaches for what seems to be a black dress that was hanging over the armrest of one of the patio chairs, and pulled it over her head. Only once she's dressed am I able to face her and realised that it's actually my shirt that she's wearing, the one left behind after the other night. Under normal circumstances I would be quite upset if anyone whore my clothes without asking, it is an Armani after all, but she looks so sexy in it I'm left speechless.

Aurora: "I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable Mr. Black, I wasn't expecting you, not that you're not welcome of cause...would you like something to drink?"

Aurora walked through the lounge towards the kitchen area, and I followed her in.

Me: "I don't know why you sent me to talk with the others...it's not going to change the fact that I'm going to kill you" I said quite annoyed at her, "Not only was it a waste of my time, it doesn't change what needs to be done" mostly I'm annoyed because she looks so damn good and I can't think straight when I'm around her.

Aurora swings around but slips from the water that was seeping from her onto the tiles, causing her to lunge forward but I catch her before she falls. With my arms around her waist I just hold her, staring down into her eyes as she looks up at me. She looks so innocent and yet she also looks like a bewildered animal at the same time.

She gently pushes away and turns around while stating "Mr. Black I'm fully aware that nothing will change the fact that you are going to kill me...I just wanted to broaden your horizon, and in doing so...hopefully save the lives of other vampires, Maybe in future you will give others a fair chance before deciding their fate."
