The days passed so fast, and my day off came.

When I went home from that night, doon ko lang napag-isipan ng mabuti ang papasukin kong sitwasyon. If I get lucky, at natanggap sa trabahong yun, para ko naring inilalapit ang sarili ko sa posibleng kapahamakan.

Isa yong high end bar. A den for the rich and famous. But considering the chances, there's no way that someone I know could possibly be a member of that exclusive bar. Right? No way. I just hope everything goes right.

The exclusive bar is located at the heart of the business district. And it's sitting on top of the highest building in that city. I did some background check and found out that it is owned by a Filipina fashion some model/socialite.

Carlo and I met in front of the entrance door. When we reach the top floor and got out of the elevator, I instantly adjusted my eyes from the darkness. The only lighting there is a strip of dim blue and red led light na nasa magkabilang sulok ng hallway.

We walked for a bit until we reached a rustic looking double door. On top of it is the name of the place written in a cursive font with dim lights.

Palladium.

It was a card with a lace. His ID, I guess. He tapped the card at the top of a 3 inches device na nakakabit sa pinto, malapit sa door handle. The device beeped and blinked green lights before the door gave a clicked sound like it opened.

Carlo pushed the door open and the roaring sound of music greeted my ears, saka nya ko nilingon. "Welcome to Palladium! Tara, idadaan muna kita sa office ni Manager." Nakangiting sabi niya

I blinked my eyes and furrowed my brows from the noise. "Uhh sige. " nasabi ko nalang at sumunod sa kanya.

I walked in and the first thing I did is look around and study the place. It's too early for me to get relaxed but this place doesn't look sketchy at all. It's just a typical high class bar. Like the ones I used to manage in Japan.

The rich ones who has the mentality of a pompous kings and queens.

I sighed. I just hope that this is just a normal bar. I don't want to get mixed up with unnecessary things. Marami na akong pinoproblema. And I'm only here for the money.

We reached the big kitchen and half of that area serves as a mini cellar for wines and draft beers that are still in barrels. Some of the kitchen staffs gave us a look of curiousity but went on with what they were doing.

We walked through the kitchen and stopped imfront of a steel door. Kumatok si Carlo habang nakatingin sakin. Giving me a reassuring look. I only nodded in return.

"Come in." Aniya ng boses sa loob.

"Uh Boss. May kasama kasi ako ngayon eh. Kaibigan ko naghahanap ng trabaho. Jin pasok ka. Di ba may opening pa tayo Boss? "

I followed Carlo inside and saw a young guy about her age sitting behind a desk. He has a wavy black hair and a slightly tanned skin. Well, he is good looking. He stared at me for awhile and told Carlo to leave.

Then there was a moment of silence. And it was him who broke the ice.

"May experience ka na ba sa pagtatrabaho sa bar? " he asked in a straight forward manner nung dalawa nalang kami ang naiwan. I remained standing in the middle of his office.

"Meron na po. Nagtrabaho ako ng ilang taon sa isang bar kaya alam ko na ang pasikot sikot sa gantong trabaho."

Though I can't tell him that I actually managed a number of bars before, bigger than this place. He would think I'm being funny.

Tumango siya saka tumayo at naglakad papunta sakin. Pagkatapos ay huminto sya sa harapan ko. Tinignan nya ako mula ulo hanggang paa. As if assessing my whole body. Then his gaze went back to my face. Kumunot ang noo ko sa ginawa nya.

"Your starting salary would be 13 grand for now. Bi weekly ang sahod dito. If you get tips from customers, take it. Hindi namin yun papakialaman. Pwede ka ng magstart ngayong gabi. I'm Jethro, the manager. And your name?"

The guy walked back to his desk while talking and opened a box beside the table and then gave her another look.

Natigilan ako habang nanlalaki ang mga mata. I never imagined that I'd get this job so easily without a hitch. Para akong nabunutan ng tinik sa lalamunan. I'm glad that I didn't change my mind going here. It's a good thing that Miss Joe is looking after Pete tonight.

"What? Having second thoughts?" He said with a playful smile on his lips. That made me snap from spacing out.

"Uh.. Uhm.. No. Thank you." I finally managed to say. Feeling a little uncomfortable with his attitude.

"Here's your uniform. Tanungin mo nalang si Carlo kung san ka pwedeng magpalit. And by the way, write your name here and some of your infos. Iaabot ko sayo yung name tag at door pass mo once I'm done."

JIN TOLEDO. A fake name with a fake identity.

I can feel his eyes watching my every move.

Jethro looked at the paper and then gave me a lazy smile. I gave him my usual blank face. Ignoring how he fawned at me. After that, he reached out his hand for a handshake. I took it.

" Hmm.. Jin Toledo....You're officially hired. "
