8 - family Picnic ✔

Alexander POV

"Look what you've done" Hope's mother yelled at her husband

"You couldn't just let it go, your daughter ran away," she said sobbing. She left the room shortly.

I cleared my throat

"Thank you, Alexander, for finding my baby girl," he said and I nodded

"I'll just go check on her, " I said and went the direction, I saw hope go

"Hope, are you okay "

She was sitting against the bathroom door and I went and sat beside her

"I am being forced to marry a person I don't know, how am I suppose to feel " she snapped

I took a deep breath

"Hope...... I know it's hard, I am getting married too" and I don't consent to this marriage either I wanted to add but knowing girls instead of agreeing they'll make a big deal out of it and say I'm rejecting her and all those sloppy dramatic things.

She looked at me then at the ground

"But it's gonna be okay"

"How can you be so sure" she spoke softly

"I don't know....... I " I wasn't really sure but I wanted to make it okay for her

" Just leave me alone, I need time to think? " she said

I sighed then got up and walked away

Girls are so complicated!!!!!

(Sunday Afternoon)

It was Sunday and I was at the park with my family and hope's. They arranged a picnic so that we can bond but seriously these people are crazy. And Hope didn't speak to me, for a matter of fact, she didn't speak to anyone. She sat at the of the table that was away from everyone. I wanted to talk to her but never got the chance to and when I did guess who beat me to it, my darling brother Dave. I saw him walk over to her and began talking to her, Dave was a year older than hope.

She was smiling. As much as I didn't have feelings for her, I didn't want any guy around her for some strange reason. She gave him an award-winning simile, it was beautiful. I made my way over there

"So you're marrying my brother, that must suck," Dace said. Hope laughed

"Yeah, it's a nightmare," she said, they both laughed

I stopped and my anger began to boil, what was wrong with this girl. She didn't know me and its not like I want to marry her. I felt so mad and rejected, I felt stupid. Why did I feel rejected because of what she said, why was I getting so mad? I turned and walked straight out of the park. I needed to get out of here to clear my mind before I do something stupid

Hope POV

I saw when Alexander was walking towards us and I had to admit I said those things on purpose, I was angry and I wanted someone or something to vent my anger out on and Alexander was right there. But now I feel bad for what I did and the way he reacted was as if he was hurt. Before I knew it was running after him to apologize. I went to the entrance but what I saw surprised me. Alexander was talking to a beautiful red hair girl. She was stunning, looking at them together affected me. But I'm too stubborn to admit it. He's a jerk, but then again I couldn't fully process what exactly he did to be a jerk.

'Hey was just talking to a girl hope ' and I knew that

I sighed and turned around to walk back to the picnic, maybe, maybe he wasn't so bad and doesn't really matter cause I'm marrying him anyway.
