27-A little advice

After days of crying over alex, I things that I couldnt believe I was doing. The pain in my heart was still wouldnt go away. But I had to forget him but the only problem was that I was gonna get married to him. How can I be with a guy when he's still in love with his ex, he can't let her go. As much as I wanted out, I didn't know how to. Would my cold hearted father finally thing of his daughter as his daughter and not some business deal. I wanted so bad to have my mother right now, why didn't she stand up for me when I needed her the most. But too think of it I didn't give her much of a chance to explain herself, I was just mad. But who wouldn't be, to find out in your birthday that your gonna get married, I just turned twenty three for crying out loud. I wanted my mom, so I mustered all the strength in me and called her 

"Hello dear " she said, it felt so good to here her voice

"Hi mom" I said , but couldnt stop my voice from cracking

"Honey are you okay " she asked

"Mom can I talk to you in person " I asked, I hoped she said yes, I missed her so much

"Yes dear, why don't we met at that cafe. What's the name? "

"Starbucks " I said and laughed, really mom forget the name Starbucks

"Yes, that one. I'll see you in a bit, honey "

"Okay mom " I said and ended the call.

I was at the cafe twenty minutes later, mom add not arrived as yet. I missed her troubly but I was also a bit nervous. Yes I had gone to their house on some occasions, like when I was sick but still I haven't seen her and dad. Well dad was another problem on its own, i didn't want to talk to him. He started this, he was the one who made this deal with his bestfriend, mom and I was just dragged into it. I was so caught up in my thoughts, that I didn't notice my mother sitting at the seat in front of me.

"Honey "

"Mom, it's been long. How are you "

"Fine, the house hasn't been the same without you "

"I know but dad..."

"He misses you too, he's just too stubborn to admite it" she said taking a sip of her black coffee , I had already ordered ten minutes after I came. I ordered black coffee from mom, no sugar or cream, just like she loves it and for myself a cappuccino.

"And Dasiy also misses you, her daughter Amelia got married "

"Oh wow, it's been I while since I have seen her "

"Oh yes, her husband carry her to Miami for their honeymoon. They didn't want anything big, something about planning for the future " she contiuned  " what did you want to talk to me about "

Oh that

" Do you remember when we had that conversation about growing to love alex "

"Yes"

"What if I said my feelings have changed but it's one sided "

"You love him"

"Pff, I wouldn't say love but I do feel something for him "

"But it's one sided, how do you know "

"I sawhim kissing chole at a club last week " I said and looked down on my half finish cappuccino.

"Hope "

"I don't think this is going to work, how can I marry a guy that's still in love with his ex, I'm never going to be happy or what if he cheats on me" tears starts to smart my eyes but I won't let them fall.

"I don't think he would do that"

"Well mom, love can you do things that are against your nature "

"Have you talked to him "

"No, what is there to talk about "

"Maybe you should hear his side "

"What about this if you talk to him and he is still in love with chol. I'll talk to your dad about the wedding "

"Really "

"Only if he is "
