Finally... This is the day...
"Jia?? Are you up??" Tanong ni Eomma sa akin
"Ne... Wae?" I asked politely
"Halmeoni is calling you through the telephone..." She said so I immediately run downstairs to answer it
"Halmeoni??" I asked
"Aiggo.. My Jia... How are you??' She asked sweetly
"I'm fine halmeoni.. How are you?" I asked
"I'm really good here... But I miss you, when are you going to come back??" She asked with a sad tone
"I'm really sorry halmeoni, but I might be staying here longer because I am attending two weddings for my friends... Maybe three soon..." I joked
"Aigoo... Ikakasal na ang mga kaibigan mo habang ikaw single ka pa rin... Nirereto na nga kita sa mga anak ng mga kakilala ko but you are always rejecting them.." Pang-aasar ni halmeoni
"Halmeoni... I'm really a busy person that's why I don't have any time for that..." I chuckled because of my grandmother's childishness
"Assus... Wala nga bang time o mayroon na talaga ..." Sabi niya na ikinagulat ko
Hindi ko alam kung sadyang mapang-asar si halmeoni o ano eh... And I find it adorable that she is really acting like a teenage girl
"Halmeoni... I'm fine.. By the way.. Uminom ka na po ba ng gamot? May appointment ka po mamaya sa doctor niyo.. Huwag niyong kalimutan..." I reminded her just to change the topic
"Oh Jia... You are really finding ways to change the topic but don't worry I will remember that... I need to go now... Kailangan ko ng mag focus dito sa tea shop at maraming customers..." She said brightly that make me feel relieved that she is doing just fine there in Japan...
"Okay... Take care halmeoni..." I said as she ended the call
"Eomma... I need to go back to my room now to get ready..." I said as I put phone down
"Are you going somewhere?" She asked
"Ne, I have work today, remember?? Maybe I eat something first..." I said but decided to eat breakfast first
"Talagang hanggang dito work pa rin ah... You might be pushing yourself to hard.. Try to take this as a vacation..." She said as she served food in front of me
"I will mom... Don't worry its just for three to four days... So it will be fast ..." I said as I started eating..
"Then suit yourself, by the way.. I need to catch on your father so I gotta go now.. Remember to lock the doors when you leave.." She said
"Ne..." I replied as she kissed my forehead and left...
After eating, I started to get ready for a good half an hour... I ended up wearing some shorts since its not that cold outside because its summer and a white mickey mouse shirt and top it off with my oversized denim jacket that ends just above my knee... Then my favorite black and white shoes....
I started to put on some light makeup just to give life to my face a bit more... Then, I waved my her lightly just not be so boring... As I rummage my drawer to find my wristwatch something caught my eyes...
The knot ring I used to wear... I thought I lost it but it seems like I hidden it just to ease the pain ... Gosh Ji... What's with you??
After a few arguments to myself I placed the knot ring into my jewelry box and wore my wristwatch...
