Ambrosia's Adventure

Chapter 4

When I woke up it was late in the morning, around 10:25 or so. I yawned and lazily walked over to my bathroom to brush my teeth. After that I brushed my hair, ridding it of its knots. I walked out of my room, not bothering to change out of my nightgown. It's not like any guests are going to be here.

I headed down to the kitchen and greeted the staff. They still looked surprised that I acknowledged their presence. I made myself some cereal and sat at the table by the window, admiring the view. Our estate was gigantic, with land sprawling out for miles. From where I was now, I could see the gardens. They were beautiful, lush flowers popping out everywhere.

I finished my breakfast and went to the music room. I remembered the directions that my father gave me and opened the door. I gasped involuntarily. Inside I could see a giant grand piano in the center, with dozens of instruments lining the walls. It even had a nice echo!

I walked in eyeing everything like I was a kid at a candy store. I decided that I would try the violin first. I took the one in a glass case labeled 'Maya's Property. DO NOT TOUCH.' The violin was of excellent quality. I picked up the bow and started to tune it but it was already perfectly in tune. I thought of some pieces to play but couldn't think of anything so I picked Fiocco Allegro.

Still got it. I smiled proudly. Though, the game Maya's skills probably helped out. I put the violin back in the case and then walked over to the piano. I sat on the bench, pondering for while about what to play and lit up once I knew. I started playing Yiruma - The River Flows In You. I loved this song because it sounded so smooth and relaxing.

I smiled as I played, thinking about my past life. I started to close my eyes as I slowly swayed from side to side. I finished the song, holding onto the last note as if I wanted the song to last forever.

After I was done I stood up and headed over to the microphone I saw earlier in the corner. I hooked everything up and closed my eyes, pretending I was giving a concert. Little did I know, I actually was. I took a deep breath as I suddenly opened my eyes, smirking.

As I was singing I was dancing, getting low then springing up for the next phrase.
