"Waahh waaahh," Who's crying? I opened my eyes and squinted at the figures in front of me. A heavy mass tackled me and I heard some voices yelling.
"Cynthia! Stop!" I feel the mass be lifted off me and opened my eyes fully. In front of me were five people, three of which who looked extremely worried. The other two looked at me like I was trash. They looked really familiar for some reason. I raised my eyebrow at them and propped myself up on my elbows, only to be pushed back down again.
"No, sweetie, you have to rest." Said a woman who I'm assuming was my mom. I nodded in response. The girl named Cynthia, my sister, was crying and came back over to hug me. "I'm sorry Maya! I didn't mean to make you fall."
"What happened?" I asked.
"You fell down and hit your head after your sister bumped into you. You had a pretty nasty fall. You were in a coma for three days." The guy I'm assuming was my dad says.
"Too bad you didn't stay that way," one of the boys who didn't seem to like me says.
I raised an eyebrow at him yet again and said, "Um, I don't want you guys to worry, but who are you?"
My mom looked like she was going to faint and my dad turned a few shades lighter. My sister, Cynthia's, mouth was hanging open. I reached over and closed it for her. My brothers looked confused. I shrugged in response.
My mom was the first to react. "Well, um, my name is Rachel Ambrosia, and I'm your mother. Your father is Richard Ambrosia. Then there's Cynthia Ambrosia, your younger sister, and the twins, Michael and Oscar Ambrosia," she said gesturing to each one.
I nodded. "What about me?"
"Well your name is Maya Ambrosia, you're 15 years old, almost 16. Your birthday is on June 21. You attend Carnegie High School. You play violin and piano, though I haven't heard you play in a while," she says while pouting, "anyways, you are to be engaged to the Prince of Athlenia when you turn 18 years old due to a promise made by your grandparents. That's all."
My eyes widened. "I'm going to marry a prince?!"
"Yes. Your grandfather was the prime minister and we are of strong noble blood. There is even some royalty in our blood too."
I inhaled and exhaled deeply through my nose. Well, fuck. So far into my time here, I've realized that I look a lot like the villainess of an otome game I used to play when I was a teen. I remembered it because the villainess had the same name as me. However, my long, dark brown hair and blue eyes contrasted her short, white hair and brown eyes. Now thanks to my mom's explanation, it's confirmed. I'm the fucking villainess of an otome game.
Like normal, the villainess in this otome game dies in every ending, whether it be good or bad. I pursed my lips as I thought about everything. Getting married to the prince is sort of unavoidable, unless he breaks the engagement himself. If my family or I were to do it we'd probably offend the king and queen and get punished.
Whatever, those are matters for another time. Now what am I wearing? It's absolutely atrocious! Lime green puffed sleeves clashed with the hot pink of my dress. I almost barfed once I saw what I was wearing. I wrinkled my nose in disgust as I asked, "What in the world am I wearing?"
The twin with the green eyes, Michael, replied with a smirk laced in his voice, "The prince's best friend, Oliver, hinted that the prince liked these colors after you repeatedly asked him what the prince's favorite color was." I saw the blue-eyed twin, Oscar, hide his laugh beside Michael.
My face turned red once I heard what Michael said. Stupid Oliver! He tricked the past me into wearing horrendous clothing and this dumb girl actually believed it! "Well, I'm getting a complete wardrobe makeover then."
