"Hear ye, hear ye, thine witch shall be burnt at the stake! For the wretched thing hath brought evil to the land!"
Applause were heard throughout the auditorium. Currently, our class is auditioning for roles in the play. There were six more people left, including the heroine. I had already auditioned for the princess earlier.
The play we are putting on is about a legend of this princess locked up in a tower, guarded by an evil witch and her pet dragon. The prince grows curious of the legend, and adventures out into the wilderness, searching for the princess. He finds the princess in distress and saves her from the tower by killing the witch. The dragon breaks out of the witch's spell and becomes the FL and the ML's faithful companion. The two then get married and live happily ever after.
In the game, the villainess had auditioned for the princess but got the witch instead and threw a fit. However, this time many things are different than how they were in the game, which gives me an inkling of hope for getting the lead role.
"What are you thinking about?" Penelope, one of my friends, asks me.
"I'm curious about who will get the role for the princess," I reply.
Three girls, including me, have auditioned for the princess so far. The heroine will audition for the role in a few minutes, so that adds another person into the equation. That means there will be four people fighting for the role of the princess. Almost all of the girls wanted to audition for the role of the princess, seeing as Eric was obviously going to be the prince. However, they remembered how the past me used to be extremely jealous and decided not to, leaving the three brave souls to go up against me.
"I think that either you or Clarissa will get the role, though I'm rooting for you," Penelope answers me. Penelope was one of the villainess's henchmen in the game, who would stick with her through thick and thin, so I knew I could trust her.
"Ah, I hope so too. I don't know if I'll get the role, though," I shrug as I lean back, "but... may the best woman win!"

"Fuck off,"
"But-"
"No, Fuck off,"
I was currently in a stalemate with the twins. Michael, the troublemaker twin, was trying to prank me by throwing a spider they found in my school bag during our break time. However, the plan backfired on him and he ended up stuck in a tree. Oscar, the responsible twin, was shaking his head in disappointment as he watched his foolish brother cry for help as he stood on the sidelines, refusing to help.
"Pleaseee Maya. I promise not to do it again. Help me! You know I'm scared of heights," he sniffled as he gave me puppy-dog eyes.
Unable to resist his stupidly adorable face, I finally gave in.
"Fine! I'll come up there. One sec," I mutter as I begin to climb up tree. The tree wasn't that tall, but if I got up to where Michael was and fell, I would probably sprain something.
"Hup! Haahh... almost there," I groan as I reach Michael.
He grabs my hand and hauls me up towards him, throwing me in his embrace.
"I was so scared!" He whimpers as he holds me tight.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm here now so you'll be fine," I grumble quietly as I patted his head, feeling a slight blush grow, "Now come on, let's get down."
I hold his hand in mine as we carefully scale down the tree. From up here, the tree looks way taller than how it was while on the ground.
"Eeek! Ladybug!" Michael shrieks as spots the insect, jerking away from it. Unfortunately, this causes me to lose my foothold. I feel myself lose balance and fall backwards, unable to grab onto anything as I fall.
"Oh shit!" Michael yells as he tries to grab hold of my hand, but misses.
I spot Oscar sprint towards me but he is too far away. There's someone below me as well. Eric? No, this person has black hair.
As I fall, I begin to remember the traumatic memory of the plane crash that brought me to this world.
"Maya, I love you." I remember my sister's last words to me as we dropped to our deaths.
Panic overtakes me as I let out bloodcurling scream. Black dots cloud my vision and I faint before I touch the ground.
-
"She seems to have passed out due to an excessive amount of panic. She'll be fine, though it was a good thing that you were able to break her fall. If you weren't there she might have broken something."
I hear a gentle voice as a begin to come to.
"Mmgh," I groan as I squeeze my eyes open.
"Oh, lovely! She's awake! Hello, darling, how are feeling?" An elderly woman in a white lab coat asks me as she brings out an instrument to check my eyes.
"I-I'm fine, just a little shaken up," I reply, coughing a bit in the beginning.
"Mhm, that's great, honey," the woman, who I'm assuming is the school nurse, says as she finishes her check-up, "You should thank this young man over here. He broke your fall and lessened your injuries,"
I look over, finally noticing the other person in the room. I widen my eyes in shock as the man's golden glowing eyes meet mine.
"D-Dr. Martin?!"
