Aryl's POV.

When I went downstairs, I already heard a soft chuckle that is from our kitchen and when I totally reached the center aisle on our dining, I saw how uncle Rommel makes fun of my mom.

He is pinching my mom's cheeks that makes my mom pouted her lips as a sign of embarrassment.

I looked at them with my cheeks uplift and cleared my throat which causes me to get their attention.

I saw how fast her emotions changes. The cold eyes of her while looking at me and the sarcastic look of Uncle Rommel that has a sarcastic grin on his face.

"The little Cinderella is awake!" he exclaimed, acted like he was surprised.

I just sighed to composed myself. Because if I let my hatred consumes me, my mom will beat me up again.

"Good morning Mom, Good morning uncle!" I mumbled as I tried to kiss her cheeks but she refuses it.

I felt the pang on my chest that causes my tears starting to form on my eyelids. I tried to act normal and smile after what she had done and sat to the chair next to her.

"Who told you to sit next to me? You devil!" I glanced in pain as she grabs my hair and forces me to kneel to our floor.

I harshly closed my eyes to stop the tears from falling to my cheeks and gently stood up with cheeks uplift.

"I'm sorry if I ruined your day. I have to go." I calmly said and walks away from them.

I tried to control the tears that are flowing from my eyes but every time I tried it my heart pounds fast to the point that it's hard for me to breathe. I harshly closed my eyes and hold my heart whilst slowly walking to the bench that was inside our yard and compose myself to have a normal breath.

I looked down at the green grasses that dance because of the wind when I notice a pair of black shoes that were in front of me and my eyes are popping out as my lips remain slightly open because of shock.

"What are you doing here?" I asked as I hold the white handkerchief that he was offering.

"I am passing by to go to school but I saw you here, sitting alone,"he explained and sit next to her as she nodded for her answer.

I was caught off guard when he pinches my cheeks as if we are close and laugh. "You know, everything is gonna be fine."

"I hope so. But in my condition, it is impossible." I answered as I looked down again at the dancing grasses and tried to uplift my lips when I looked back at him.

"You can ask for his help. He's always here for us," he said and patted my head as he stood up and offer his hand but I refuse.

I looked at him with disbelief in my eyes and laugh all of a sudden. "How can I ask for his help if I disobey his commandment? "

My jaw dropped as I heard a soft chuckle from him and I rashly shifted my gaze on him, "Why? Are you mistress? A thief?" he asked and I snapped my head as my answer that turns his eyes to be big as if he was really shocked. "Don't tell me you are a murderer?" he asked while holding back his laugh and I shifted my eyes in a different direction.

He stops laughing when he realizes he was the only one who is laughing at his joke.

He shifted his gaze to mine and I saw how his jaw dropped as he realized what he asked and how I reacted.

"You are a murderer?" he asked while looking at me with disbelief in his eyes but I just sigh and stood up as I walked in the roadway.

But I felt his presence that was following me so I looked at him irritatedly. "Mister? We are not that close! So please stop pestering me!" I said with annoyance and my eyes widen when I saw him laugh.

He is an angel. That thought makes me blush as I remove it in my brain.

He is a jerk.

"Don't assume, Miss Cinderella," he said as he gives me his identification card with our school's lace that was hanging on his neck a long time.

I looked at him as my face becomes as red as a tomato because of the sudden feel.

Timothy Sky Garcia. A Grade 10, section one student.

So, he is my senior? What a coincidence!

"T-that. That is. That is because you are always here when I feel down." I said and looked at the ground to hide my red face.

"So the little Cinderella thought that I am his Superman?" he laughed as he hears that and looked at me as if I exploded the biggest and weirdest joke in the world.

"No. Because my superman already left me." I answered with my mind and continue to walk like a zombie under the sun.

"Hey! You thought I am your superman?" he is running towards me and put his arms around my shoulder.

"I'm not your superman. Because I am your Batman," he whispers to my ears and runs away towards the school's gate that left me dumbfounded.

What does he say? Batman? What the?
