Rashi.....
Evening :
I helped mom in cooking , while I was setting plates and food on dinning table , I looked in a direction and saw Navneet coming towards table .
"Rashi " He called .
I left to kitchen immediately , ignoring him .
I herd Kabir and dad's voice from kitchen .
" Rashi "
"Have you kept salate , beta " ?
" Yeah mom "
" Ohkay , come "
Mom said and I went out with her .
I took seat beside Kabir .
"Oh sit "
" I'm...I'm sorry...I'm so sorry chachi
(Aunty) "
Navneet apologised as his hand striked the full jug of water , splitting it around his chair .
" It's okay navneet , take some other chair , will clean it later "
Said mom to him .
He came and sat beside me .
" There is some amount of water on those chairs too so ..I..."
Navneet started reasoning to everybody , pointing at 2 other chairs .
" Start food cautiously now "
Dad said sternly .
I felt Kabir's gaze on me , I looked in his direction & looked down to my plate .
He placed his palm on the back of my hand , under the table shocking me as this is the first time he touched me
(Except incident of that night 😜)
And pressed it a little in a fist , as if assuring me , I felt it good , but it was giving me butterflies in my stomach .
I lifted my eyes , found everyone busy with their food , then looked at him , he immediately looked at me , I nodded signaling him I'm fine , then took my hand from his grip because it was making my condition worse .
I found myself unable to concentrate on food , due to shyness with our hands entangled .
He placed his hand back to himself and we completed dinner silently .
