Rashi's pov :

" Arrange for her stay "
Dad told mom , signaling about Tanvi .

" No sir "
" I came here to meet Navneet "
" But , as he is not mine anymore "
" I don't want to disturb you all "
" I should leave now "
She stood up , in order to walk .

" Are you having any relative or known
in this town " ?
Mom enquiried .

She looked down at floor and turned her neck in a
' NO ' .

" Then where will you go child , at this time of hour , it's not safe for you "
" I'll arrange your stay for tonight "
" Tomorrow you may leave "
" Isn't it " ?
Mom asked looking dad , after speaking to Tanvi .

Dad nodded in agreement , mouthed  "yeah "
and left in the direction  to his room .

Mom took Tanvi towards guest room ,
Navneet went outside , Kabir remained sat on sofa .

I was standing on kitchen entrance , came inside and started preparing dinner .

Though I was cooking food but my mind was playing everything again and again like a CD .

A hand moved towards the slab in front of mine , I was jerked , scared a bit and my back touched a chest , jerking me more , on the same spot where I was standing .

" Rashi , it's me , I was just taking a glass "
Said Kabir , in a soft but still a bit harshness in tone .

"Oh..." Said I , trying to read his face .

" Rashi" we herd mom calling me , he distant himself from me , as we were really close  .

" Kabir " ?

" Mom , I came to have some water "
He said pouring water in the his glass and left out .

" Let me help you  "
She said to me , taking a plate in her hand .

After dinner :

" Rashi , will you give a pair of your clothes to Tanvi "
" She have nothing to change , so "

" Yeah , why not mom "
" Just washing the dishes is left.... "

" I'll call Ramu , he will do it "
" You too had a late day at work , I guess , as you came late today " ?

" Yeah mom , there was a meeting and my phone got switched off , due to no battery , I'm sorry I couldn't inform anyone "

" It's okay , beta , have that bank with you na "
She suggested .

" Bank " ?
I asked , as I didn't get how bank is related to phone's battery .

"Yeah , that blue blue , which your dad use to carry "
She explained .

" Ohhh...Power bank " 😊
" Yeah mom , I'll take care next time "

Then after bidding goodnight to mom , I went to Tanvi's room , taking a pair of loose salwar kurti , as I use to wear it for nights , not any nighties as they use to showing movies .

" Tanvi " I called knocking an open door , looking for her , who was standing at the window , she turned .

" Here , you can change into them for tonight "
I offered .

" Thanks ugh " she stopped immediately .

" Rashi " I introduced myself , as she didn't know me directly , except today's drama .

" what happened , you doesn't seems fine " ?
I enquired .

" I don't know Rashi "
" Please don't get me wrong , I really enjoyed the dinner , it was really really tasty "
" But I'm feeling unease , something's wrong with my stomach since I had food "
" May be I ate more than required and know it's acidity " 😊
She reasoned .

Exchanging smiles , I came to hall , kitchen , outside to see Ramu kaka , instead I found Navneet there .

I was about to move
" Rashi" he called me .

Ignoring him I started taking steps for inside , but he marched my steps with continuing
" Listen to me for once Rashi "

" What now , Navneet " ?
" Is there still anything left  " ?
I asked in an irritated tone , as I'm rude to him for saying poisonous words about my relationship with Kabir .

" Just once Rashi , please "
" I beg you , please "
He started .

" Okay , say " I asked him to speak .

" Can we sit there " ?
He pointed towards a nearby bench .

It was close tous so I went and sat on one side of it , he came and sat at the other side leaving space in between . ' Good for him ' .

" I know I have done lots and lots of mistake in the past , I was a reason for your pains too , but give me a chance , I'll prove you that the real me is not what
I was till now "

" I promise you I  will be a good man "
" I...Know it's difficult about all this but , I really had enough of all this now and all I wants is peace and happiness "
" All what I'm asking is a chance for change "
" Please "  he pleaded .

" But , why are you saying all this to me "
" Wait , by giving you a chance , do you mean .."
I was not even able to complete .

" To be with me , to leave Kabir , earlier also you were selected for me , you were suppose to be my wife " he stated .

I stood up immediately and
" You are really impossible , Navneet "
" Get one thing clearly in your head ,
I'm Mrs. Kabir . And don't you dare to talk to me or anybody else about it again "
" Otherwise I have to deal with you , in other ways "
said in slow but aggressive voice . And left to bedroom .

Kabir's pov :

After dinner I was waiting for Rashi , why she came late today , she didn't even informed anyone .

Where is she now ?

I went to kitchen to check her , but found only mom talking to Ramu kaka , she told me Rashi left kitchen way earlier , I sent Ramu kaka to see her in Tanvi's
room , but she is not even there . Then I came back , hoping to find her in bedroom , but nopes , not here .

Where is she ?
I'm getting impatient with every passing second .

I went to balcony to close the door , but the sight caught my attention , Rashi sitting with Navneet on the bench of our garden . In addition they were talking .

What is left to talk to that guy who was insulting our relationship ? Is she still not over him ?
What if my instincts are wrong ?
What if deep down Rashi still like him ?

What if Navneet's words are true that she is staying with me because I married her , because I didn't let her parents respect go down ?

I was in pissed state ,  at work I'm having a hell lot of work to handle , more than what they pay .

Back home situations are more irritating as , I , her husband , barely gets few minutes to spend with MY WIFE & this Navneet directly / indirectly gets her attention ,  my head was about to burst .
