Day of Cell Games

Megan P.O.V.

Today was the day. The day to fight Cell. Well, at least for everyone else. Rosie made sure that I stayed at the Lookout the whole day. I didn’t like the idea, but I can’t just be thinking about my life anymore. I’m taking care of two. “How are you feeling?” Rosie sat next to me on the couch, handing me a bowl of oatmeal. “Better than yesterday, thanks.”
Since I found out that I was pregnant, it hasn’t been easy. Saiyans don’t typically get the glowing skin or easy pregnancy like most Earthling’s do. It’s more hard on our bodies. We are making warriors and it takes a lot of energy out of the mothers body to help them grow. The only good thing about Saiyan pregnancy is that it doesn’t last as long as Earthlings pregnancies. Our bodies were made to fight. Our bodies have evolved to produce children a lot more quickly so we can go back out onto the battle field.
Rosie has made sure that I have been eating every meal, even if I refuse. Most importantly, she is making sure I don’t train at all. It sucks, but I have to do what is best for my child. “What’s on the agenda for today, since I can’t go fight Cell..” I asked the blonde, sticking a mouthful of oatmeal into my mouth. Surprisingly, I was very hungry today. The sick feeling hadn’t gone away, but it’s not as bad as it was yesterday. “Well, you could help me design a few of these dresses for my boss. Deadline is in a week and I haven’t come up with one dress yet.”
“Sure, I guess… When did Piccolo leave?” It just now dawned on me that I needed to talk to Piccolo before he left for the fight. But I didn’t sense his energy any where near here. “He left at the butt crack of dawn.” Rosie turned on the TV, flipping through the channels. “I’m guessing you had a firm talking to him before he left.” Rosie and Piccolo knew about mine and Vegeta’s argument. To put it lightly, both of them were beyond angry. “I told him not to do anything stupid. They have to focus on beating Cell. He can beat Vegeta’s ass afterwards.”
“I appreciate you and Piccolo keeping it calm for now. But when this is over, please don’t get involved. He has made his across that he wants nothing to do with this family. Plus, I don’t care about him. Let him live however he so damn well pleases.” I was lying. Vegeta meant the world to me. What he said hurt so bad that I didn’t even know if I could get over it. But I had too. I saw what he did to Trunks. If he didn’t want his first son, why would he want mine.
Rosie sat there in silence before letting out a long sigh. “Fine. If that is what you want, then we will stay out of it. BUT,” She turned to look at me with a serious expression. “If he comes here to try to hurt you again, he WILL be sorry.” As much as she wanted to try to serious, I couldn’t help but laugh. “I’m serious!” I held my stomach as I tried to calm down from laughing so hard. “I know. I’m sorry. It’s just that when you try to be tough, it’s like watching a puppy be angry.”
Rosie fell back into the couch with a huff and her arms folded. “I can be scary when I’m angry.” She mumbled to herself. I smiled as I grabbed the remote and flipped through the channels, laying a pillow on my stomach for comfort. “Wow! This Cell is-“ My thumb stopped as soon as I heard Cell’s name. “Wait, they have a whole camera crew there! Are they wanting to be killed!” Rosie sat up as our eyes glued to the screen in front of us. “HAHAHA it was all a trick you see!” A man with a huge afro stood from a pile of ruble with a nose bleed.
“Who the hell is that?” Rosie rubbed her temples. “He is Hercule. He won the World Martial Art’s Tournament a few years ago. All that glory went to this head.” I slowly sat back in the couch. “No kidding… If he thinks he can take on Cell…” Cell stood in the back ground, raising his finger at the camera crew with an evil smirk on his face. “Stop Cell!” A male voice yelled faintly through the speakers. “I will be your first opponent.” Goku jumped onto the ring, already in his super Saiyan form.
“Goku is going to fight him first?! What is he thinking?” Rosie stood from the couch, pointing at the TV. “He is like our trump card. Why is he fighting first?” I shook my head, watching the fight on the screen. “Goku wouldn’t do anything rash without a plan right? What if he is just playing this out?” Rosie put her hands on her hips as she sighed in disbelief. “Well, him playing this out could destroy the entire planet.”
The fight began. It seemed that Cell and Goku were evenly matched. One landing blows and the other blocking them just as fast. It seemed that they were equals on the battle field. Though after some punches and blasts were shared, Goku stopped. “I see now. I see just how strong you are. I give up.” He spoke with a smile. “WHAT?!” Rosie and I jumped off the couch. “He can’t just give up.” I ran my hand through my hair, trying to figure what the hell he was doing. “We are going to die.” Rosie pretended to faint on the couch.
“I know a fighter who is much more stronger than me.” Goku turned to where the others seemed to be standing. “Gohan! You’re up!” My eyes widen. “He can’t be serious…” Rosie went to the TV, standing directly in front of it. “Are you out of your mind Goku?!” She yelled, as if he could here her. This wasn’t right. I had been told that Goku was the best of the best and he gives up the fight to let his son take over! I had to go down there and see for myself.
I ran to the wall and quickly put on my shoes. “And just where do YOU think you’re going?” Rosie stood behind me with both hands on her hips. “To the donut shop.” I turned to her with a dumbfounded look. “Where do you think I’m going?” Rosie quickly grabbed my hands and looked into my eyes. “You are not going. What if something happens to you out there? You aren’t just thinking about yourself anymore.” Her eyes went to my stomach. “I know. I’m aware what will happen. I’m not going to fight and if anything were to happen, all the guys are there. They will take care of it.”
Rosie didn’t look convinced at all. She shook her head as she let go of my hands. “I don’t like this one bit. But I know that there is nothing I can do to stop you. You better be careful. That is an order.” I looked at her with a small smile. “I will. Take care of things up here. I will be back before you know it.” I took off running towards the front of the Lookout, before jumping off and flying towards the powerful fight. It was kind of hard to miss.
I was worried that something would happen but I have to think positive. I may not be able to fight, but I can lend my energy to anyone in case they needed it. I’m not useless or a crutch. Piccolo was there so I know he won’t let anything bad happen. He may be angry that I came but he will just have to get over it. And Vegeta…. Who cares… I don’t have to listen to what he says either. The only reason I’m going is to help prevent the world from being destroyed.
It didn’t take that long to finally see where the fight was taking place. The Z-fighters were on top of a hill, looking down at the fight between Gohan and Cell. I landed beside Piccolo, who was shocked to see me there. “What are you doing here?! You’re not supposed to be anywhere near here, you idiot!” I looked up at Piccolo, clearly seeing the anger on his face. “I’m not going to fight.” Piccolo put his hand on my shoulder firmly. “You are going back to the Lookout. Now.” I pulled my shoulder back so he wouldn’t touch me. “I am going to stay here and watch this stupid fight whether you like or not! I didn’t train all damn week to just sit at the Lookout and watch TV!” Piccolo stood back at my sudden burst of anger. Probably hormones finally kicking in. Go figure.
Vegeta stood away from us, watching the whole thing. He almost looked impressed at him. I quickly looked away from the both of them and turned to the fight at hand. “Are you alright, Megan?” Trunks carefully walked up to me, Krillin and Yamcha on the other side. “I’m fine!” Vegeta motioned for Trunks to move as he walked closer to me. I could care less what this Prince wanted to say to me. “You shouldn’t be here.” Vegeta turned to me with his brows furrowed. “I’m sorry I thought you didn’t care about us.” I snapped at him. There was no way I was going to deal with this problem right now. The fate of the world was right in front us!
Thankfully enough, Vegeta didn’t say anything else but he didn’t move either. His eyes returned to the fight. Cell and Gohan seemed to stop fighting. I couldn’t quite make out what they were saying, but it seemed serious. I wasn’t quite sure what was going on until Cell had hunched over, seeming to spawn a thing out of his tail. More like somethings. Tiny little bugs that looked like Cell but were blue and was dancing around him with a smile on his face. There was around seven of them and each of their energies seemed like no joke. Cell pointed in our direction and each of the tiny Cells came at us.
Each Cell went after one of the Z fighters. I stood back watching the scene unfold until one of the bugs came at me. He just laughed at me, almost sounded manic. I quickly got into my defense stand. Even though I haven’t trained in a couple of days, that wasn’t going to stop me from defending myself and my unborn child. The Cell Jr. came at me fast, throwing multiple punches at my face. I was lucky enough to block some of them. But it seemed he was aiming at my stomach. Did these things know?!
My hands blocked my stomach as much as possible, some of his blows hitting my chest or face. I had just a small opening to counterattack, so I kicked the bug as hard as I could in the side. It pushed him away enough for me to see how the others were doing. They seemed to be holding their own but these bugs were strong. Too strong! The one I was fighting appeared behind me and punched just behind my back, knocking me to the ground. I managed to roll out of the way as he brought his back down again to my back. Both of my hands were placed firmly on the ground so I swung my leg to trip it. Once it was down, I blasted a few ki blasts at it and jumped away to put some distance between us.
I thought I had jumped away fast enough but I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. One of the other blasted bugs kicked me in the stomach. My instincts kicked in survival mode as I put both of my hands in front of me and blasted it with as much energy as I could. It seemed to do some damage but I was more concerned over my baby. Did these little bastards just kill my child?! The Cell Jr that I was fighting just a moment ago came at me once more. Just as I was about to defend myself, a male figure kicked him out of eye sight.
Vegeta glanced at me, his eyes filled with anger and…worry? “Bastard!” He went after the Cell Jr and fought against him, holding his own like it was nothing. The pain in my stomach seemed to intensify. My knees felt weak and that same feeling I had been dreading, started to rise from my stomach to my throat. I fell to the ground and let it all out. I wiped my mouth with my hand, trying to push myself to stand up again. I had to be on guard right now. If one of those Cell Jrs. came at me again, they might just kill me.
Just then, there was a loud scream and a major energy spike stopped everyone from fighting, even those bugs. Gohan snapped and transformed into what I was assuming was super Saiyan 2, the next level. He appeared in front of each Cell Jr and blasted them all into an oblivion. Is this what Goku was thinking, that Gohan had some unlocked potential and fighting Cell would bring it out? A stupid way to go about it but I guess it did work. I saw a gloved hand reach out for me to help get off the ground.
“Is that really Gohan? He’s amazing..” I looked at how quickly Gohan appeared in front of a now terrified Cell. “That brat… Kakarot should’ve finished him off when he had the chance.” Vegeta looked at my stomach. I quickly pushed myself off of him. “Why are you acting like this? You tell me that you want nothing to do with me or your unborn child. Now you act like you care?” My eyes scanned his, trying to figure what he truly was thinking because right now, I had no clue.
“Look, I-I… I don’t want to lose you…or the child.” Vegeta mumbled so the others couldn’t hear. “Then why did you say those things to me?” A single tear fell from my eye, remembering how much it hurt to hear those words from that night leave his mouth. “Because I was scared okay! Between you and the child and Cell? I wasn’t ready to be a father to that brat and I wasn’t ready for this one.” I stood tall looking at the ground then to him. “What do you want Vegeta? I need to know. Are you going to stay with us or leave? I don’t want to be going back and forth with this.”
Vegeta stood there in silence, just staring at me like he was weighing his options. “If we make it out of this okay, I need an answer.” I walked away from him, putting my hand over my stomach hoping to feel anything. Even the smallest of power levels would make me feel okay. Standing beside Piccolo once more, I felt it. That same energy that I felt for three days was there. It was small but still there. Piccolo looked down at me with concern. “It’s okay. I’m okay.” I smiled down at my stomach, slowly rubbing small circles before putting it down before any one else noticed what I was doing.
Cell looked defeated but something was off. “I’ll blow this entire planet into pieces!” He began to get bigger and bigger, looking like a giant Cell ball. “What is he planning on doing?” I watched in fear as it looked like he wasn’t going to stop getting bigger any time soon. “He’s made himself into a bomb!” Krillin took a few steps back. “W-What do we do?” Cell just laughed at us, enjoying the look of fear on our faces. “Guys, I’m sorry.” Goku had finally spoken up, looking at all of us with a smile. “You guys fought well, but it’s time to end this.” Goku put two fingers to his head and disappeared. He isn't going to do what I think he is going to do, is he? “No Goku!” Multiple people screamed. Goku appeared in front of Cell, point one hand on him and turning to Gohan. He seemed to be saying something but I couldn’t here. In a flash, Goku disappeared taking Cell with him.
“Dad!” Gohan fell to his knees as he reached out to where his father was just standing. It was heartbreaking to watch such a scene. Goku sacrificed himself to save all of us. The Earth. His family. Most of the Z-fighters let the tears fall, some falling to the ground in disbelief. Even I couldn’t hold back some of the tears.
A beam that seemingly shot out of no where went straight through Trunks chest. No one moved. Trunks fell to the ground, lifeless. My eyes traveled where the direction of the beam was shot to see none other than Cell himself. He was alive and back into his perfect form. What, how?! “Thanks to the Namekian cells in my body, I was able to regenerate.” Cell looked at his hands then at Vegeta and I. “Of course I couldn’t have gotten this much stronger either thanks to the cells of the monkeys.” Gohan’s energy was drained from his battle. There was no way he could fight Cell in the state he was in.

Earth is doomed.
