A Saiyans Past

Chapter 16

~Few Weeks Later~

Megan P.O.V.

Everything seemed to have calmed down these past few days. Well, for the most part. After my brother coming and threatening my family, I’ve been a bit on edge. The kids have not left my sight, during their training hours or even when they play.
I did have a talk with Vegeta about Luna and her desire not to train. He was mad at first but in the end, deep down inside, I knew he wanted our little girl to be happy. Even if he didn’t show it very well, he cared about her and the boys a lot.
Rosie had been a bit upset with me and my decision on leaving but she respects my choice. She had been very supportive from the very beginning and now, I couldn’t have asked for a better friend to help me with the kids.
For the past few days though, it’s been rough. On top of watching the kids and caring for my baby, I’m constantly on my guard for any kind of attack. So, to say I was a bit on edge was an understatement.
Rosie had suggested the kids have a playdate at Capsule Corp just to play with some other kids their age. At first, I was hesitant about it, but I realized that it isn’t fair for the kids to be cooped up here.
Now, I was finishing packing the diaper bag for Mercury when Luna ran in the baby room. “Momma! Aunt Rosie said that Gohan’s little brother was going to be there!” She jumped up and down in excitement.
Chi Chi had her baby around the say time I had the twins, so they were very close in age. I smiled down at my little girl as I zipped the bag and threw it onto my shoulder. “Yes, he is. If I remember correctly, Trunks and Buriana are coming as well. Is your brother ready?”
Mercury stood in his crib, reaching up for his mother to pick him. “Yep! He’s already outside with daddy.” Vegeta said that he wasn’t going to some ‘silly playdate’. So instead he was going to spend his time at the Lookout training. I picked up my toddler and held him firmly against my hip. “Alright, let’s get going then.”
Luna ran outside, with me following behind her. It’s been a while since I seen my little girl smile like that. Probably because she is tired of being around boys all the time. A girl does need her girl time every now and then.
Outside, Burlock stood in front of his father, seeming to have a conversation with one another. Luna ran beside her brother, tugging on his hand. “Let’s go! Momma’s ready now!” The boys turned around to look at me. Vegeta folded his arms with a huff. “Be back before dark.” I slightly chuckled at him. He had been on edge too and became very protective of us over the past week. Not that he wasn’t before.
“Yes sir.” Luna and Burlock began to float in the air, starting to take off into the sky. “We’ll be back before you know it.” I quickly kissed his cheek, causing his face to heat up. “W-Why you-! G-Get going woman!” His face was beet red, making me laugh even more. He hated showing affection around anyone, mostly because it’s embarrassing to himself and his pride.
I put Mercury into the small sling I hand strapped around me, making sure that he was strapped in before taking off. Soon, I began to fly after my children, heading to Capsule Corp.

~Small time skip~
It didn’t take that long to get to the rather large building. Outside, I could see three small figures playing in the back yard with two bigger figures sitting in chairs. Luna and Burlock flew down to the other children playing in the yard while I landed in front of Bulma and Chichi. “Hey guys.”
Bulma stood up from her chair with a big smile. “Hey, girl! It’s been a while since I’ve seen you! And look at this handsome young man.” She knelt to Mercury’s height, waving to the small toddler. Chichi stood as well, looking at the child. “I still can’t get over his hair.” She chuckled while Bulma ruffled Mercury’s ‘Goku’ hair.
“Where’s Buriana’s mother?” I looked around to see she was no where in sight. “Oh, she had to work today. So I told her I would babysit for her.” Bulma sat in her chair once more while putting her sunglasses back on her face. “I see…”
“So, what have you girls been up to?” I sat down next in between where the girls were previously sitting and began to strike up a conversation.
