~One Week Later~
Megan P.O.V.
After that night, Vegeta and I had been spending a lot of time together. Though every second we spent was training, I didn't mind it one bit. It just made me happy to know that he cared for me. Every day we would train to get stronger and stronger to face Cell. I may not have been able to transform into a super Saiyan like the rest of the saiyans, but I promised myself to become stronger in my regular form so I won't hold anybody back.
Last night, Vegeta had told me that he wanted to train by himself in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. I didn't argue with the man, knowing if I did we would have probably gotten into an argument. But I knew he was trying to push himself to new heights and better his fighting skills. If it took him to do it on his own, then who am I to argue with him.
Piccolo offered to train me this morning, so I decided not to pass up an offer to become stronger. "Are you ready yet!" I heard the Namek call out to me from outside. "Yeah! One sec!" I skipped down the hall as I put my training shoes on. This morning, I woke up feeling awful. My body was soaked in cold sweat and I could feel myself ready to vomit at any moment. Luckily, I didn't throw up my dinner but I had the feeling when I took a shower and performed my usual morning routine and warm ups.
"Took you long enough." Piccolo had his arms folded, looking pretty pissed that I was late. He was a stickler for time. "Sorry, I'm ready now." Rosie stood beside him, eyeing me up and down. "Are you okay? You look really pale." I could tell she was concerned but I just waved my hand in dismissal. "I'm fine. Can we start now?" Piccolo and Rosie looked at each for a moment, then back to me. "Okay, but I'm gonna watch you guys train for a bit." Rosie went to the front of the Lookout house and leaned against one of the pillars.
Piccolo walked closer to me, his figure towering over me. "Look, I said I'm fine. I just felt a little sick this morning. Probably what I ate last night." I spoke quietly to him. He narrowed his eyes, almost as if he was studying me. "I don't want you-know-who to worry about this. She will take me to the...doctors." I shivered at the thought of being back at that place. It always smelled weird and made me fell on edge. "Fine. Just know I'm not going to take it easy on you."
"Good. I don't want you too anyway." Piccolo walked back to where he was previously as he got into his stance, as I did as well. Both of us stayed there for a minute, waiting for the time to attack 'Screw it.' I charge at him, my first wheeled back ready to punch. My fist connected with his hand as he went to punch me as well. I caught his fist and we pushed each other until he went to kick my side. His foot connected to my right side, causing my body to flinch in that direction. I released my grip on him and fired a ki blast at close range.
My blast pushed him back a few feet, his feet sliding against the pavement. Piccolo charged at me, acting like he was going to punch me. Just as I thought he was about to land a blow, he disappeared. A sharp pain radiated throughout my back as my body fell to the ground. "You aren't trying hard enough!" Piccolo yelled down at me. "Get up!" My stomach felt like it was doing backflips. That attack stirred something within me.
"I said, get up!" Piccolo repeated as I tried my best to stand on me feet. I placed my hands on my knees, slowly pushing myself up. That familiar feeling came back all over again just like this morning. My feet slipped out from underneath me and I feel back to the ground. Why did I feel so weak? "That's it! Training is over." Rosie ran over to me, bending down to my level. She helped me sit up, which felt like a challenge all on its own. Once I finally managed to sit up, Rosie placed her small hand on my forehead.
"You're burning up!" I sighed as I looked down at my hands. "I just got through training Rosie." Piccolo stood above us with his arms folded. "What's wrong with you?" He asked as I looked at him. "If you think I knew, don't you think I would've taken care of it by now?" Rosie stood up, helping me to my feet. There was that feeling again. My eyes started to water and I knew I wasn't going to be able to hold it back anymore. I ran away from them, not wanting them to see the magic that was about to happen. I knelt over a hedge bush and let it all out.
I gagged as my eyes stung with more tears. Once I felt I was done, I sat up and rubbed my eyes. "Awesome..." Footsteps stopped behind me as Rosie put her hand on my shoulder. "You are going to the doctor. No 'buts' about it!" I sighed as I tried to stand up. My eyes looked up to see Piccolo still in the same spot and he looked concerned. "Stay right here. I'll get my car." Rosie went inside to find the capsule that had her bright red car in it.
It didn't take long for her to go into the Lookout and come out ready to go. "Piccolo, you staying up here?" Rosie asked him as I sat carefully into the car. He nodded his head and looked at me before I closed the door. "Let me know if you find anything." Rosie smiled softly "We will."
