~4 years later~
“That was a cheap shot, Burlock!” The little girl yelled at her brother. “It wouldn’t have been if you were paying attention.” He replied as he folded his arms with a huff. The twins were in the middle of training when the usual arguing began. “Enough!” Vegeta yelled at the two, which stopped the fighting instantly. He had been training them for almost a year now, or as long as Megan would allow him too.
Many things happened between the twins birth up to the present. Shortly after their birth, the two Saiyan parents had to make some choices about their tails. Much to Vegeta’s dismay, they had agreed it would be safer for the Earth that the twin’s tails be removed.
As they got older, people could tell which twin took after which parent. Burlock acted like Vegeta when it came to battles but when it came to showing his softer side, he had surely taken after his mother. Luna on the other hand, acted like Vegeta all the way around. She could be a bit bossy and demanding but she was also daddy’s little girl.
During the duration of the twins growing up, their parents became a lot closer, getting to know each other better and working things out. “Vegeta? You aren’t being too hard on them, again are you? I can hear them from inside.” Megan stood in front of the building, holding a small infant in her hand. The couple had another child, named Mercury not too long ago. The parents were a bit taken back when the child came out with messy hair that looked all too familiar to them.
Of course, that was easily explained. Many Saiyans were born with that type of hair so it wasn’t that uncommon. “Luna’s just being a little wimp, that’s all.” Burlock looked at his sister with a mocking glare which she equally returned with her tongue sticking out. “That’s enough training for today.” Vegeta rubbed his temple, trying to soothe the headache he got from the children’s arguing. “But, I want to fight more!” Burlock protested.
“Listen to your father. You two go inside and clean up. Aunt Rosie made you guys a special lunch.” Megan smiled as she gently rocked the baby in her arms. “Yes mother.” The twins spoke in unison as they raced each other inside.
“Rough training again today huh?” Megan smirked as she walked over to her mate. “They do more arguing with each other than actual training.” Vegeta sighed as he folded his arms. “Well, they are kids, Vegeta. Siblings fight like that all the time.” Mercury cooed at his fathers while holding his arms out for him to hold.
“What?” Vegeta looked down at the baby, as he just smiled up at his father. Megan chuckled as she handed Vegeta their baby. “You can hold him for a minute. He won’t bite. Not yet at least.” Mercury gripped onto Vegeta’s armor strap as he cooed more. “W-Wait!” Vegeta held his son quickly as Megan went back inside.
In the kitchen, Rosie finished setting up the table for the kids to eat. Plates were stacked high with sandwiches, enough to satisfy a Saiyan appetite. “Oh! Almost forgot!” Rosie opened the fridge and pulled out some fruit punch for them to drink. “It’s amazing on how much food they consume.” Piccolo gazed at the food with uneasiness. Also, during the past years, Rosie and Piccolo had grown closer. Neither one of them were going to admit to their feelings without a little bit of help. Since Rosie had helped so much with Megan’s pregnancy and kids, she decided to return the favor.
After some planning, Megan had the two go out on a date without the other knowing. Something had happened that day, that neither one of them will admit too. But whatever happened, they seemed to be even closer than ever.
“Hey, Uncle Piccolo?” The twins came into the kitchen. Luna ran to the table, ready to eat as Burlock stood in front of Piccolo. The Namek hummed as he looked down at the small boy. “How strong are you?” Megan soon entered the kitchen shortly after her kids, helping Rosie with food. “Are you stronger than dad?”
“Of course, he is not!” Vegeta stood in the doorway, with Mercury on his shoulders playing with his flame hair. Megan and Rosie stifled a laugh at the sight in front of them. Mercury kept patting Vegeta’s hair down as it kept sticking straight up, amazed. “I am stronger than you.” Vegeta smirked with his arms folded, not even being bothered by his son in his hair.
Piccolo smirked at the Prince. “Why don’t we just test that out?” Megan quickly maneuvered around the counter to her mate, taking Mercury off his shoulders. “I’m going to take the baby before you guys do anything.”
“And take it outside!” Rosie shouted at the two. “You’re on, Namek!” Vegeta pointed at him as the two made their way outside to settle things. “I want to go watch.” Burlock looked up to his mother with puppy eyes. “Can I eat outside and watch? Please?” Megan put Mercury on her shoulders before answering him. “Well, I don’t see why not. But!” She put her finger up quickly. “If they start to get to carried away, you are coming inside. Understand?” Burlock smiled as he nodded his head.
The young boy grabbed a few sandwiches and ran outside to watch his father and uncle battle it out. “Boys are weird.” Luna spoke from the table as she took another bite of her sandwich. “They are, sweetie. But you just have to get used to it.” Megan sat across the table from her daughter as she prepared to feed her infant.
“Why do they always want to fight though?” Rosie looked at Megan from behind Luna. “They are saiyans. Saiyans are built to fight. It’s in their blood.” The blonde sat down next to the little girl as she dried her hands off. “You’re a full blooded Saiyan too.” Luna glanced down at the table at her food. “But, I don’t like fighting. It’s not fun.” Megan frowned at her child. Had she known that she wasn’t enjoying training, she wouldn’t have made her do it.
“Luna, if you don’t want to fight, that’s okay. I don’t want you to do something that you aren’t enjoying.” Luna looked up to her mother with a look of joy. “Really?”
“But, I do want you to learn how to protect yourself in case anything ever happens.” Luna looked at her aunt, who nodded in agreement. “She’s right. Things may happen and if you're parents or anyone of us aren't around, you'll still be able to protect yourself.” Luna nodded slowly as she listened to the lecture. “Do I still have to train with daddy?”
Megan smiled softly. “That’s up to you. I know your father’s method of training is harsh. But I would be more than happy to help teach you the basics.” Luna smiled brightly as she jumped out of her seat. “Yeah, I want to do that! Thanks mommy!” She ran around and hugged her mom around her neck. Though she stopped for a moment and her smile faded. “Will daddy be upset with me?”
Megan cupped her daughter’s cheek with her free hand as she smiled. “You father will understand. I will let him know, don’t worry. Do what makes you happy, sweetheart.” She placed a small kiss on Luna’s forehead. “Thank you, mommy. Can I go watch daddy and Uncle Green fight too?” Megan nodded her head with a chuckle at Piccolo’s nickname. “Yes, you can. Keep your distance just in case, okay?” Luna nodded her head as she ran outside of the Lookout.
“You did good just there. It seems you've got this parenting thing down.” Rosie propped her head on the table with her hand. “I try to be a good parent. I just remember how encouraging my mother was with me and learn from her.” Mercury yawned as he finished eating and his eyes fluttered closed. “I know you miss her… I may have never met your real mother, but I know she would be proud of you.”
“Thanks, Rosie.” Megan slowly rocked in the chair as her baby fell asleep in her arms. “By the way, aren’t you going to your parents house tomorrow?” Rosie stood up from the table with a stretch. “Yeah, why are you asking?” She made her way to the sink to begin washing dishes. “You going to introduce Piccolo to the parents?” Megan smirked as she saw her friend go stiff and her face flooded red.
“W-Why are you- N-No I’m n-not- May-be...” Rosie stuttered as she tried to calm herself down. “I’m messing with you. I was thinking about taking the kids down there for the day to meet them.” Rosie took a deep breath as she put her hand to her chest. “I think they would love that! It’s been a while since they’ve seen you.”
Megan stood up from the table, carefully cradling her child. “The last time they saw me was when I was huge. Your dad joked about getting a bigger door.” Both of the girls laughed as they thought back on the memory. “Plus, I think it would be good for Burlock and Luna to meet some new people instead of being around fighters all the time.” Rosie huffed with a smile. “Ain’t that the truth.”
The building began to shake as a blast was shot through the roof. Megan instantly covered her infants head from the falling debris. “I thought I told them to take it away from the Lookout!” Rosie yelled as she marched outside once the roof stopped falling. Megan followed behind her, having a sinking feeling in her stomach.
“What did I tell you guys-!” Rosie stopped speaking once she saw Vegeta and Piccolo stand in front of the Lookout with the children behind them. They were in defense mode and didn’t turn around to look at the girls. “And the cockroaches crawl from their safety…” A deep voice spoke. Megan stood beside Rosie to see the intruder in front of her.
Her eyes widen from shock once she realized who it was. “You were supposed to be dead.” Her voice darkened as her instincts went into defensive mode. Vegeta and Piccolo stepped aside. “You know him?” Piccolo questioned her as the evil figure laughed. “Of course, she does. How could she forget her own brother.”
Rosie went to the children and grabbed their arms, just in case things got bad. “Brother?” Piccolo looked back at the smirking figure. Megan handed Rosie Mercury and instructed her to take the kids inside. Rosie began to move the children to safety but stopped when the figure appeared in front of her. “Now just where are you taking my niece and nephews? They are family, after all.” Megan kicked her brother in the side, pushing him away from her family.
“Get them inside now!” She yelled to her friend, who wasted no time taking them in. “You will NOT go near my children, Zenaku.” Megan turned to her brother, who just laughed at her. “Look at you sister, acting all tough. I thought at least father and I had beaten some sense into you for taking on an elite.” Vegeta growled at the Saiyan as his fists clenched. “You will regret coming to this planet.”
Zenaku turned his attention to Vegeta. “Ah, Prince Vegeta. My apologies for not acknowledging you earlier. But I don’t pay attention to people who are weaker than me.” His head turned back to Megan. “Now, Souara. I came here to make a deal with you.” Megan rose her eyebrow, taken back on the sudden change in his mood. “Since you are family, I’ll give you a chance to live on one condition. You join me on my mission to eradicate planets and be my underling. If you refuse, well, I would hate to have to kill my only niece and nephews.”
Zenaku held his hand out towards the Lookout where her children were inside, ready to blast it. “So, what is your answer, dear sister.
