Normal P.O.V.
Vegeta looked back at Trunks, who laid lifeless on the ground. “T-Trunks…” His eyes went to the hole in his chest. “You…” Something in him snapped. Vegeta powered up into his super Saiyan form, a large spike in power shook the ground below him. “My son!” He charged at Cell as everyone watched in horror.
“Vegeta stop!” Gohan called out for him to stop, but it was no use. Vegeta couldn’t hear anybody over his pain filled scream. Cell smirked as he blocked Vegeta’s attack. “Enough of this, Prince.” Cell punched Vegeta in the stomach as hard as he could, causing the Saiyan prince to black out. His spiky golden hair faded back to black as he fell to the ground. “Vegeta!” Megan flew down to him, checking to make sure he was still alive.
She felt his energy but just barely. Cell looked down at the girl with a smirk. “So, will you be my opponent now huh?” He chuckled. Megan put Vegeta’s arm over her shoulder and lifted him up. Her blue eyes narrowed at the tall the bug. “Gohan,” She called out to the boy, her eyes never leaving Cells. “Kick his ass.” She slowly began to float with Vegeta by her side. Cell laughed at the sight. “You think that boy is going to beat me? You are all talk and no action.”
Gohan watched the two fly to safety before glaring at Cell. “You are going to pay for what you did.” Cell turned to him with his arms folded. “Oh? Am I now?” Gohan began to chuckle to himself, causing Cell to lose his smirk. “I really am an idiot huh? I had all this power to put an end to it now. Yet I let my dad sacrifice himself for no reason.” Gohan looked at Cell as his super Saiyan form began to glow brighter than before. “But now I have this opportunity to get revenge.” Cell powered up as well as his arms fell to his side. “We will just see about that.”
Megan set Vegeta down on the ground carefully, checking him over. Her heart sank as she saw him, laying there with no motion. But, it showed that deep down he did care for his son. Nobody could deny that. A small smile came to her face as she sat beside him. He cared for Trunks, so maybe there was a chance that he care for theirs. She would understand if he was scared, but she needed to know how he truly feels about everything when everything else was dealt with.
“Pretty stupid running out there like that.” Piccolo spoke down to her. “Cell could have killed you and…your baby.” He spoke the last part softly. “I didn’t see any of you going out there and getting him.” Piccolo folded his arms as Megan glared up at him. “None of us would risk our lives for him.” His eyes narrowed at Vegeta’s body. “You think he would have done that for you?” Megan usually would have gotten up and put up a fight with the Namek, but her body was drained. The pregnancy was starting to take her toll on her, especially since she had to fight earlier.
“Yes. I believe he would have.” Megan turned to watch the fight, not wanting to hear anything else that Piccolo had to say. He sighed but decided to let it slide for the time being. Cell and Gohan were fighting once again. Things weren’t looking good at all. Cell had the upper hand in the battle. He was at full strength as Gohan was fighting at half that. “Come on Gohan.” Megan mumbled with worry as Gohan was knocked back once more into the ground.
Gohan stood up from the ground, looking up at Cell. He went to push himself but a sharp pain shot through his arm. Cell laughed at the boy as he slowly floated down to the ground, a few feet in front of Gohan. “It seems this is the end of the line boy. Though I would be disappointed if you just gave up now. That's no fun for me.” Cell smirked. Gohan held his injured arm, trying to think of every possibility on how he could win this fight. “What’s wrong? Cat got your tongue.” Cell laughed at him. “I think it’s time to end this. Don’t you agree?”
Cell put his hands together as he began to charge up his attack. “Ka…..me….ha…” Cell yelled as a light blue light began to form in his hands. Gohan stared on is disbelief. This was his last shot to save everyone. He can’t give up now. With his uninjured arm, he charged up his own attack. The Z-fighters watched on, the fate of the world in Gohan's hands. Vegeta’s hand twitched as he started to regain consciousness. Megan looked at him waking up, then helped him up.
“Me…..” A blue light shone brightly from Gohan’s hand. “HA!!” Cell fired the blast at the teen boy with a yell. “Ahh!!” Gohan fired his own blast, counterattacking Cell's own blast. “Just give up! You’re too weak!” Cell taunted him as he put more energy into his attack. It overpowered Gohan's quite a bit. “I’m sorry everyone…” Gohan felt hopeless as he muttered to himself. “But I just don’t see myself winning this thing…”
“Enough Gohan!” Gohan's eyes widen as he heard his father's voice. “Dad?” Goku spoke to Gohan from the other world. “You can’t give up now. No matter how hopeless this seems, you can’t let everyone die! I believe in you, son.” Vegeta watched the scene before him. He pushed Megan off of him as he floated just a tiny bit into the sky. “Vegeta, what are you-“ The Prince held his arm up in front of him, his arm providing whatever support he could. “I’m helping to end this…” He fired a blast at Cell, causing the bug to lose focus for a moment.
Vegeta fell to the ground, using the last bit of energy he had left in him before passing out again. “What?!” Cell turned his head, giving Gohan just enough time to finish him off. Gohan yelled as he put the last bit of energy into his blast, quickly enveloping Cell's Kamehameha wave. “Th-This is impossible! I’m perfect!” The blue wave surrounded Cell, turning his body into nothing but ash. His energy faded quickly into nothing.
The light faded when the damage was done. The fighters opened their eyes to see dust settling from where Cell was standing. Gohan chuckled tiredly as his hair faded back to black as his body fell to the ground, having no more energy left in him to stand. Krillin was the first one to cheer as he jumped down to help Gohan up. “You did it, Gohan!” Krillin put Gohan’s arm over his shoulder as he helped the Saiyan up.
Megan watched as most of the Z-fighters go down to Gohan and celebrate their victory. Just as Tien was about to go down there as well, Megan stopped him. “Tien, right? Would you mind carrying Vegeta to the lookout please?” He looked at Vegeta then back to her. “You can’t carry him yourself?” Tien rose his brow. Megan’s face turned a slight red. “W-Well I can’t exactly carry him at the moment.” Tien wanted to ask why but saw Piccolo out of the corner of his eye give him a look that seemed to be saying ‘Do as you are told.’ He sighed as he picked up Vegeta and threw him over his shoulder. “Thank you, Tien.” Megan smiled as she looked back at the warriors.
Piccolo stood beside her, smiling proudly down at Gohan. “I saw that, tough guy.” Megan looked at Piccolo, who quickly wiped the smile off of his face with a small purple hue dusted on his cheeks. “You’re imagining things.” Megan chuckled as she looked back down at everyone. “Sure sure, whatever you say.”
Piccolo turned around to leave. “Where are you going?” He didn’t turn back to her as he went to Trunks' body. “We need to go back to the Lookout. I’m sure Dende has the dragon balls revived by now.” Megan looked at him confused. What did she miss? “Care explaining who Dende is and about him reviving the dragon balls?” Piccolo picked Trunks up as he turned back to her. “I’ll explain on the way there. Tell everyone to meet us up there.”
Megan nodded her head slowly as she glanced at Vegeta hanging over Tien’s shoulder. “You can go ahead and take him there. I think we have a few senzu beans left to heal everyone.” Tien nodded as he took off towards the Lookout. Megan jumped to where the others were and let them know that they were all going to the Lookout.

~Time skip~

Rosie was pacing back and forth on the front of the Lookout, waiting anxiously to see if anyone would show up. The news broadcasters didn’t catch the remaining half of the fight so no one outside of the Cell games knew what was happening. “What if something happened? What if Megan got into a fight and-!? Oh my Kami I think I’m going to faint..” Dende waited outside with the girl, holding his staff in his hand. “They are alright. They are heading back up here now.” Rosie turned to him very quickly with her eyes wide. “Why didn’t you tell me?!”
“Man, your voice carries.” Rosie turned to see Megan and the others. She didn’t waste a second to hug her friend. “Are you okay? Did you get hurt?” Rosie quickly pulled away from the surprised girl and checked her over. “Bruises? You fought, didn’t you?!” Megan rubbed the back of her head as she looked at the ground. “I-I didn’t really have a choice.” Rosie folded her arms and gave her a stern look. “No choice, huh? What about the-“
“You guys couldn’t wait up for us, huh?” Yamcha spoke to the girls as the rest of the group landed behind them. Tien set Vegeta down, who was still passed out. “I need a senzu bean.” Rosie looked at her friend and then at Vegeta. “I’m guessing it's for him.” Megan nodded her head as she held out her hand. “Please.” The blonde sighed before digging one out of her pocket. “I was saving this for you, for obvious reasons. But if you want to waste it on that low life, then fine.” Megan took the senzu bean, not in the mood to argue with her.
She knew how she felt and that wasn’t going to change anytime soon. Especially if Vegeta doesn’t own up to anything. Megan made her way to the Prince and slipped the bean between his lips and helped him chew. It didn’t take long for the senzu to kick in. Vegeta moaned a bit as he sat up, rubbing his head with hand. Megan gently put her hand on his chest so he wouldn’t move for a second. “Slow down, it takes a minute for the senzu kick in.”
Vegeta pushed her hand away as he spoke, “I’m fine. I don’t need you babying me.” He stood up on his feet, feeling a bit light headed. Megan stood beside him with her arms folded. “Sorry for trying to help, your highness.” The female Saiyan turned away from him as she mocked him. Vegeta grabbed her arm, stopping her from walking away. “Are you mocking me?” Megan snatched her arm away from him. “Why? Does that hurt your feelings?” She snapped back at him.
Vegeta wanted to say something back, but he didn’t want to have this discussion in front of the others. So he quickly picked her up bridal style and quickly flew inside before anyone could see them. Megan didn’t have time to react until they were already inside and he put her down. “What is wrong with you?” She took a few steps back from him as he folded his arms. “Nothing is wrong with me.” Megan sighed in annoyance. “There is obviously something wrong. One minute you protect me from that Cell Jr and the next you act like I’m dirt on the bottom of your boot. What is going on with you?”
Vegeta remained silent. There were just so many things he wanted to say, how he felt about her and the whole situation but he didn’t want to know the outcome of it all. Deep down inside he might have wanted family with her but now wasn’t the time. “Do you want me to answer your question?” Megan stared at him, not exactly sure how to feel. The inside of her stomach felt like it was filled with butterflies from what he was going to say. Was he going to stay with her and be the family she had always dreamed about? Or was he going to leave?
She stayed quite and motioned for him to answer. Vegeta looked her in the eyes as he said, “I don’t know what I want right now. But a family is not what I picture at this moment. And…” He looked down at her stomach, at the baby that he and her created, for just a moment then back up to her eyes. “If you are set on keeping it, I don’t want to be a part of that.” Megan could feel her heart shatter. She just wanted to scream, cry, and break everything from the pain but she had to remain strong. Acting weak in front of him would hurt her own pride.
“If that is how you feel,” Megan began to walk past him as she continued to speak. “Then I don’t want to see you near this Lookout, or me and my child.” She continued to walk outside of the Lookout, leaving a very hurt Vegeta inside. But he felt as if he deserved it in some twisted way. He created a life with someone who he loved but was scared of the future. That he would never be strong enough to protect either of them. Vegeta’s hands clenched at his sides as he walked out of the Lookout through the back entrance and flew off into the sky, not having any destination in mind. He needed to go.
Megan stopped just before the entrance of the building, seeing everyone outside, celebrating and laughing from their victory. But she couldn’t feel any of that. There was so much pain inside. All she wanted to do was weep to her heart's content, until she had no more tears left to shed, but she couldn’t. The baby needed her. She needed to be strong for them both. A single tear fell from her cheek as she quickly wiped it away. “It’s just us now. We can make it.” Megan slowly rubbed her stomach with a small smile before going back to the others to celebrate, leaving the darkness and sadness behind.
