I was eager to come to work that day

I was eager to come to work that day. I had two days left before we had our grand opening. And I had a feeling that something bad was going to happen. The Lost Boys were up to no good that was clear. I had to make them see that we were not going to harm them. And then maybe they would not bring harm to us. One could hope. I was also hoping to run into Michael. We had a moment. At last. It had been a short one because my gram had scared him off.

Johnny was going to be working with me tonight. I was kind of grateful that I was not going to be alone. The Lost Boys would not hurt me, but they loved to scare me. Not that Johnny was much protection. But he was company. None the less. It was only seven pm. Nothing was about to happen until that midnight hour came around. I had to talk to the Lost Boys. Then I was hoping to talk to Michael. I take a deep breath. My boss hands me a list of to do things before she heads out the door.

I stand there in the doorway and read over what I had to do. "Alright. Myla we better get busy" I pep talk myself. After I got all this done then the ghost hunting could begin.

I begin to set up the lines for where the crowds would be coming in. We had a format we would follow. Each person would tell about each room. And we had placed personal photos up all over the home of Michael. And of his kids as well. That was what Paris had in mind. I dust things I was told to. I had an odd feeling something was watching me down the hallway. The hall that lead to Michael's bedroom. I try to brush it aside. Johnny was running late. As always. I would have to cover him, or the boss was going to fire him.

I hear a noise down the hall way. It startles me. "Hello? Is someone there? Johnny?" I call out softly. The hairs on my arm begin to stand up. An uneasy feeling comes washing over me.

I hear the same noise again down the hall. "Johnny you are not funny!" I warn him. "If this is you then you are going to so pay!" I warn Johnny sternly.

I make my way down the hall. The lights begin to flicker on and off. "Michael? Lost Boys?" I squeak softly. It was only eight o clock now. To early for ghosts to come out.

Right?!

My heart races as the lights stay on. I rush down the hall. I have not heard that noise again. I see the light on in Michael's bathroom there in his bedroom. I had not turned it on. Johnny was not here yet. That I knew of! My handshakes as I reach up touching the doorknob on Michael's door to pry it open more. I head inside.

"Someone here?" I call out softly.

I glance around. I had to turn on the light. It was over on the nightstand. I take a deep breath then go to make my way across the room to where the light was at, as fast as I could. Light was good. Darkness bad. They could one up me there in the dark. They had the upper hand. As I go to reach out and turn on the light, I feel a hand on my right shoulder.

"Please don't hurt me" I beg of them.

I turn around and hear laughing.

"Johnny! You stupid fuck!" I snap with anger. I swat him on the arm as he laughs his brains out.
