Where Were You?

Her POV

It had been about three weeks since I had heard from Hoseok. No calls, no texts, nothing. He was just gone without notice. I'm sure he must be busy, but no goodbye? Cam and I were reviewing for a test and I got a notification on my phone. Hoping that it was him, I reach over fast and checks my phone. I sigh and set my phone down when I saw that it wasn't him. I looked up at Cam and she gave me a sad expression

"When are you going to stop looking at your phone? We have an exam next week and you can't focus"

"He could contact me and when he does, I'll be there to answer. I just have to be patient and wait for him" I nod my head and look at my notecards

"Kat he's been gone for almost a month and you only knew him for about a week. I know you said that you felt a connection, but we don't know when he's coming back" She scoots closer to me and takes my hands "Look he's not worth your time if he doesn't see your worth"

She gives me a small smile and I return one to her then we go back to studying. I couldn't help but think about where he is or how he's doing. Do I ever cross his mind?

We take a break from studying and go to a local coffee shop near my apartment. We sit at a table near the back after getting our coffees. We were talking about one of our classes when something caught my eye. It was someone who looked a lot like Yoongi, the guy I had met in the elevator. I just thought that I was going crazy, but then he smiled at someone across from him and I instantly recognized him from his gummy smile

"Cam I'll be right back" I get up ignoring her confused face and I head towards Yoongi not even caring about Cam calling my name wondering what I was doing. I walk up to his table and he looks at me with a confused face, but he realizes who I am and looks shocked

"Yoongi? What are you doing here?"

Yoongi's POV

She looks even more beautiful than the last time I had seen her. But I was frozen in my spot not knowing what to say. Hobi had told me that he was trying to distance himself from her because of the hate she would get from the fans. She doesn't even know who he really is or who we really are. I looked at Joon not knowing what to say so he decides to take the lead

"Hi I'm Namjoon" He smiles and holds his hand out. She shakes his hand politely with a smile

"My name is Kat" She turns back to me giving me a piercing look of sadness and worry "Do you know if Jhope is okay? I've tried calling and texting but he doesn't answer"

"Oh yeah, he's okay. He's just been super busy with work and dancing. Speaking of, we need to get back to the boys. It was really nice to see you again Kat" He gives her a side hug and waves walking out the door. Joon gives her a smile and small wave as he follows me out of the cafe

He dialed Hobis number waiting for him to answer "Come on hurry and answer"

"I know I'm running late but I'm almost there" He says right away when he answers my call

"No don't go there turn around. Kats there with a friend of hers" He says but it gets silent which only meant one thing. They've already seen each other.

Hoseok's POV

Right as Yoongi said that, Hoseok looked through the window seeing her. Their eyes meet and her eyes began to water seeing him. He began to walk away, but she ran out of the cafe following him. They had been walking for a couple of minutes until he stops when she speaks

"Where were you?" she says to him breathing heavily

He turns around and puts the phone down but doesn't hang up. He looks at her and his heart breaks as he sees her crying right there in front of him. He doesn't know what to say so she continues to speak

"Where have you been Hoseok? Do you even realize how long it has been since you kissed me? Since the last time I saw you in that hotel? Did you not feel the connection between us or was it just me? If it was just me feeling it, I need you to tell me so I can move on" She catches her breath after keeping that in so long

He sighs and looks down, then he looks up at her "Even if we did have a connection, this can't happen between us"

"Why? Is it because you live all the way in Korea? Because if you think that's the problem, it's not a problem for me. We can figure it-"

He cuts her off and turns away from her "That's not the problem. The problem is what I do for a living and I don't want you caught up in that mess. We've only known each other for a week. It was a really fun week and I had a great time, but there isn't a connection between us"

He looks at her and she looked like her heart had shattered right there in front of him. He had to lie straight through his teeth to make her believe him. He truly did think there was a connection between them and the others thought he was crazy. But he couldn't help how he felt and it was like he had become a brand new person because of her. He became even more bright and happy and even he couldn't believe that was possible.

"So that's it? You just ignore me  for a month, then you say goodbye like this?" She scoffs and shakes her head "I knew that you and that whole week was too good to be true. I should've listened to myself when I had the chance. I hope you have a good flight home and I'll see you around" She turns around and leaves leaving him breathless

"Dammit" He yells and finally hangs up the phone heading the opposite way wanting to be alone before heading back to the hotel
