Haunted past

                                                                Chapter 2: Haunted past

Car halted in front of hospital. With slow and steady steps, Arnav walked in. He went to the receptionist and ask about the patient.

That's when his phone started to rang.

Nisha: Bhai where are you?

Arnav: I am near the reception..

Nisha: Please come fast near ICU...i need you bhai! (He get worried hearing his baby sister voice. Hence, straightly without any delay, he reached at the place.

On arriving, he caught few policeman interrogating with his baby sister in a very rough language. His blood boils. Nobody in this world dare to point finger on Arnav Singh raizada's sister and they bloody dare to talk with her so rudely. He swiftly walked to them and stood right in front of them giving warning glare to stay away from her.

''Back off!'' Those words hit someone really hard on the other end, making her to feel restless. Several wires connected to her with oxygen mask only helping her to breathe.

Khushi, who is laying on the hospital bed few inches away half conscious started to breathe harshly recognizing his voice. A tremor ran through her, causing her to clenched her fist. Though she was still in her semi conscious but she could never forgot the voice of the monster who is reason of her all miseries and pain.

Nisha: Bhai relax..Please calm down! They are just asking me about Khu..

Arnav: You just keep quiet! (Looking back at the inspector) And you did grave mistake raising voice at her..i will make sure you will be fired from your post.

Nisha: Bhai they are not letting me to meet my friend..She is in pain bhai..i wanted to be by her side. She needs me.

Inspector: Mr raizada..cooperate with us otherwise..

Arnav: What you would do! (He gave a sharp glare) You are threatening Arnav singh raizada. You have no idea with whom you are talking..One phone call and you can be restigated from your so called job.

Inspector : You cannot threaten me Mr raizada. It was a rape case and without knowing everything we cannot allow anyone to meet the patient. (He went dumbfounded hearing that)

He spin around and look at her who immediately look down.

Arnav: What is going on here? ANSWER ME! She gulped and turn to Nikhil for mercy. (Arnav caught her gaze and saw a boy standing in a corner looking at his sister.) Who is he? From when you started making friendship with boys.

Nikhil was about to reveal his relation with nisha but she spoke instantly.

Nisha: He is my friend, bhai! (She signal him not to say anything. Knowing well about her over protective brother, she can't take the risk of telling him she is having a boyfriend. Right now, she only need to find out about that rapist.

Bhai please try to understand, My best friend is in very bad condition. I wanted to give justice to my friend and punish that man at any cost. That's why i inform inspector and Nikhil is also helping me into this. Thanks to him who saved her on right time otherwise i would have lost her.) Arnav lost in his thoughts until she jerk him.

Are you listening or not? He nodded absent minded. His gaze stuck to the ICU trying to see the face of the patience from glass. But Nisha stood right in his front blocking his sight. Like the way she is going to protect her in future.

Nisha: Where are you looking..? (She asked waving her hand before his eyes)

Arnav: Huh! Yah..Nothing..waise Who is she? I mean your friend! You didn't told me previously about your special friend. (He asked doubtful)
