Chapter 16: Provoking the devil
“No..No..No. I will not eat anything until my khushi feed me”
“Babyji if you won’t eat how you become a strong girl”
Kaka has been trying since a very long time to convince Nisha. But she is not ready to eat anything. All she wants is Khushi. Khushi and only Khushi. With time, she became more stubborn and irritant. She is not willing to listen to anyone. She looks at everyone angrily like they are her enemy and immediately throws the food on the floor.
Khushi appeared at the very moment and began lifting the bowl.
“Leave it, Betiya.” Kaka stopped her and started cleaning the floor.
“No. Let me-”
“You are our guest. I wouldn’t like it if you do” Her eyes soften. He is such a good soul but that Rakshas. Her mood got spoiled again thinking about him. Her chain of thoughts gets broken by the sudden scream of Nisha.
Kaka and Khushi both got up with a thud and saw Nisha getting out of control. She is throwing everything that comes her way and scratches herself with nails. When a servant tries to stop her, she grabs one sharp object and begins to attack him.
“Mere pas mat ana..Maar dalungi..main sabko maar dalungi” (Don’t come near me. I will kill you. I will kill everybody)
Khushi felt something break inside her. She gets vulnerable seeing her best friend in such a state. She has never seen Nisha like this. It breaks her. Million of thoughts running to her mind. What. How. when. Who is responsible for Nisha being the way she is? She died a million deaths in just one moment. Nisha is very dear to her and to see her torturing like that, it was indigestible.
“I hate you Arnav Singh Raizada. I just hate you. You didn’t even spare your real sister as well. Just to satisfy your ego, you used your own sister as a pawn to revenge me. Every single person I loved you snatched them. But not this time. You have to lose. You would pay heavily torturing my Nishu in your hell”
Gulping back her tears, Khushi carried her gaze and saw Nisha ruthlessly shouting and screaming on the top of her lungs. Her hand began to bleed, clutching the sharp object tightly. Immediately, she did the most simple and powerful thing she always does whenever her Nishu gets angry. She hugs her from behind and whispers something to her ears that instantly comforts her. In no time, Nisha began to relax and looked back at Khushi tearfully recognizing her.
“Tu aa gayi..” (You came) Her eyes glimmered with shine meeting Khushi. Then suddenly she starts to get emotional. “Why did you leave me? You know how much I get scared seeing you nowhere.” She clutched Khushi’s hand tightly and stood behind her trying to hide herself from the servants standing and staring at her. Kaka felt dishearten. His little doll fail to identify him.
“Why are you afraid? They are your-” Been interrupted by Nisha’s sudden query.
“Who are they and where are we? Whose house is this?” Blood drained from Khushi’s face. Her head began spinning seeing Nisha’s reaction. Why isn’t she recognizing her house? What has happened to her? She looked at Kaka with astonishment. He signs Khushi not to pressurize her.
When Nisha look at her, Khushi tries to act normal. But it is getting impossible to hold her emotions.
”I don’t know who are these people and where they had brought me these people wanted to kill me” Nisha exclaimed snuggling close to her best friend.
