That night I didn't go to sleep. Sure, it was bad for my health but my head just would not stop spinning. I thought about what Isaac said. What did he mean about we'll never be dead to him?

As Isaac slept I looked at him. He would live a long life, get married, probably have a few kids. Isaacs children would never know Augustus Waters, nor me. They'd know his new friends, hopefully.

I decided to read one of Gus' letters. I had nothing else to do but probably watch another 5 episodes on Supernatural, but I would rather feel Gus than watch Sam and Dead kill another demon.

Dear Hazel Grace,

We're one day away from Amsterdam. I decided I'm going to tell you there, about my cancer. I can't tell you now. I can't imagine what you would say.
