Chapter 4:

“Why didn’t you get the dick?!” Sharon blared in my ear. I woke up that morning, and found that Korbin was gone so I called Sharon and filled her in with the news.

I shrugged my shoulders.  “He didn’t give it to me.  He told me that he wasn’t going to force anything on me.  He said whenever I was ready; he needed to be the first person I called.” I responded.

I could tell Sharon was rolling her eyes. “Why the hell is he talking about you like you’re a virgin? You have a child and you’re the biggest freak I know, he should know that you’ve been ready!” She said trying to control her voice.

“He respects me.” I said smirking knowing that I was taking a shot at Sharon.

“So you’re saying Nick doesn’t respect me because I gave the cookie up to him already?” She questioned getting sassy.

“No absolutely not, I’m just saying that your man isn’t like mine.” I laughed.

“Alright, cocky bitch, don’t make me come through this phone on you, you know I don’t play about Nick.” She responded.  I could tell that she was smiling.

I heard my front door open.  “I’ll call you later, Sharon.  My baby just came back.” I said.

“Okay, bye Coco.” She said before both of us hung up.

I tied my bathrobe belt around my waist, and walked out of my bedroom and wondered around the house until I found him outside on my patio.  He went out and bought us breakfast.  He hadn’t even noticed me standing in the room when he finished fixing our plates.  I cleared my throat.  He looked at me, and immediately, his face lit up.  “Good morning, Beautiful.”  He greeted walking up to me and kissing me forehead.

I blushed hard.  I could feel that my cheeks were probably a glowing peach or pink.  I looked up into his eyes.  “Good morning.”

I hadn’t noticed that one of his hands were behind his back until he pulled it from behind him.  In his hand was a bouquet of yellow, pink, and red tulips.  “For you.” He grinned.

I blushed harder, and lifted the flowers to my nose.  As I sniffed, I looked down one of the stems of the flowers, and found a silver band with a huge rock on it! “Damn!” I thought to myself because of the size.  “Korbin, what’s this?” I asked showing him the ring.

“It’s a promise ring.  Brielle had me thinking about your past with your baby’s father, and I wanted to show you that I’m serious about not hurting you intentionally.  This is my proof of the promise I made to the both of you.” He said kneeling down on one knee, and putting the ring on my ring finger.  He kissed my hand and looked up into my eyes.
