Chapter 3:

1 Week Later

I was home, and I had just finished packing Brielle’s bag.  She was going to spend the week with her father.  “Bree, are you ready?” I called out throwing one of her bags over her shoulder then putting another on my arm.

Bree came sprinting out of her room, and stared up at me. “Yes, are you ready?” She asked adorably.

I nodded my head then squatted down to look her in the eye.  “Can you do mommy a favor?” I questioned.

She nodded her head.  “Yes, more than likely.”

“Don’t tell your Dad about mommy’s boyfriend, okay? My life is none of his business, okay? Remember that.” I said looking her in the eyes.

She frowned for a moment.  “But why? Is daddy going to be mad?” She asked.

I shrugged my shoulders.  “I don’t know, and really don’t care.  I just don’t want his nose all in my business.  My nose isn’t in his so I don’t his in mine.” I answered the best I could.  To be honest, I wanted Sebastian to be at my doorstep on his knees begging me to take him back especially after Korbin and I made our love life public to the media, but I understood that it was all just hopes.  I just wanted to see Sebastian’s face when he discovered that I upgraded majorly, and once again, I knew that these were just hopes, but can you blame me?

Bree nodded her head.  “Okay, I understand.  One question, can we get ice cream before we go over Daddy’s house?” She asked.

“Ask your daddy to take you, that’ll give both of you something to do.” I said standing up and beginning for the front door.  When I opened the front door, I reached for her hand and she placed her small hand into my palm.

I dreaded showing up to Sebastian’s house every other week with our daughter.  I hated seeing him and Angela together.  It almost caused my heart to ache and burn. I walked up the porch, which was 5 steps, holding Bree’s hand.  I took a deep breath and rang the doorbell.  Shortly after, Sebastian answered the door.  I felt that his eyes smiled at me, but his face muscles just wouldn’t form it.

“Hey Chanelle, how are you?” He asked nonchalantly as if over a year and couple months ago that he didn’t leave me standing at the aisle and caused me to beg him to stay.

I cleared my throat, weakly smiled, and avoided contact.  “It’s not like you give a damn.” I thought, but my lips managed to say, “Hey Sebastian, I’m great; how about yourself?” questioned.

He nodded his head and took in my hairstyle along with my appearance of makeup and clothing.  “You look great.  I’m alright.” He responded.
