Emmas POV:

After Tyler and I's first date, as soon as I stepped into the house my two older brothers were waiting for me on the couch while my mom sat on the kitchen table having a late night cup of coffee. I couldn't believe my brothers actually came home and waited up for me. I groaned and blushed when I walked through the door and they bombarded me with questions. My mom simply sat there with a smile on her face and a shake of the head, she did end up scolding my brothers to leave me alone but that only worked for a few minutes before they started asking more about my date.

I swore up and down that Tyler was perfect and kept his hands to himself the whole night - little white lies never hurt anyone. I smiled at my thoughts, for once I felt like a normal teenager and not some fat and bullied geek at school.

My insecurities came rushing back and I bit my lower lip in thought, why did Tyler like me? What made him take such a sudden interest in me? He was such an asshole to so many other girls before, whats different about me? It makes me fear the worst, that he is messing with me or using me in some way.

My thoughts were cut short when I heard an all too familiar sweet voice.

"Thinking about your second date with Tyler?" Ariel sung beside me with a smile on her lips.

I bit my lower lip and blushed. "No." I lied, I was thinking about Tyler and truthfully I was excited and nervous about our date tonight.

Tonight was Friday and it was our second date and as promised it will be a 'Friends' marathon night. Of course my mom would be home but Im kinda happy she is, It makes me nervous being around Tyler on my own. I couldn't deny that I was starting to really like him but I was still scared about his intentions. I prayed he wasn't lying to me.

After our first date the school week had gone by quickly. Of course the same things were happening Cynthia and her bitch posse of 4 were still taunting and teasing us - well me for the most part and Lena as usual stuck up for me while Ariel stood shyly behind me only muttering a few words to them. Regardless it was now Friday and we still had the whole school day to get through.

When I looked up from the floor and my blushing subsided, my eyes finally met Ariel and I gasped with a smile. Her hair was freshly dyed. "You got a touch up?" I ran my fingers through the ends of her red locks "Now you really look like the little mermaid."

She blushed and waved off my hand "Stoppp." she giggled and before I knew it Lena was coming up behind her. She tickled her waist and Ariel jumped up in freight. She turned around to she Lena behind her and rolled her eyes scolding Lena for scaring her. I just watched me two best friend interact while shutting my locker closed, it seemed like the school day was off to a good -

"Well if it isn't the fat virgin Mary ...." Cynthia voice rang behind me.

Lena eyes turned stone cold and glared at the girl behind me while Ariel simply rolled her eyes. I groaned and took a deep breath.

So much for the day being off to a good start.

I turned around and mumbled "What do you want Cynthia?"

I saw a evil smirk play on her lips as she shrugged "I heard you something is going on between you and Tyler?"

My eyes suddenly snapped to hers. Meghan and Jessica stood to her left looking at their newly painted nails - I'm sure, while Erika and Crystal stood to her right, Crystal seemed to match Cynthia's smirk but Erika seemed to be giving me a pitied look, its almost as if she didn't want to be there. Odd.

Before I could respond, Lena stepped up and stood a few steps in front of me "So what if she is? Are you upset you couldn't sink your cursed claws into him first?"
