I looked myself up and down in the mirror and did a slight twirl back and forth to observe myself in the outfit I chose. There was a smile tugging at my lips at the girl that looked back at me. I was finally getting there, finally getting to the point where I was looking thinner, almost like every other girl in my school. I was nowhere near Lena's size yet but I was happy because I was quickly thinning out.

School had been out for almost three weeks now and during those three weeks I was doing everything I could to be the perfect girl any guy would want. I didn't want to go through that heartbreak again. After what Tyler did something snapped in my mind and I knew that no guy would want to be with me the way that I was, after all I still had a hard time believing that Tyler actually loved me and everything he did and said to me was real. To me it was all still fake and part of the bet.

I sighed and smoothed my hands down my deconstructed skinny jeans. Despite the fact that I had lost over 20 pounds, I still couldn't get myself to wear shorts or short skirts in the summer time. I had just become comfortable with wearing strapless top and tanks, right now I was wearing a cute red top that was off the shoulder and ruffled. It was perfect for today's date, along with my clean white converses.

When I look at myself I feel happy and beautiful but inside its the complete opposite. There are days where I feel like so run down that I drag myself everywhere and don't have the strength to do anything but stay at home and read books — I remember when Lena and Ariel wanted to take our bikes and ride the trail through our national park and just the bike ride there got my exhausted, I couldn't keep up and it wasn't because of my weight, it was because of how drained my body was.

In the beginning there were days where I had tremendous headaches and felt like passing out but I pushed through knowing what the results would be in the end. The first week or so after I ended with Tyler I was fasting and only eating a piece of fruit a day along with strictly water and while that worked I couldn't handle it but I needed to find a way to still loose the weight and be perfect.

And I did.

I came across ipecac syrup.

Did I know it was wrong? Yes. Did I still do it? Ashamedly yes.

I swore to myself I would only do it until I got down to my goal weight and I'm sticking to that. As soon as I get down to my goal weight I will just eat small portions and slowly ween myself off of the syrup. I just couldn't stand to be bullied and taken advantage of any longer.

I felt a tear slip from my eyes at the remembrance.

I took the syrup twice a day to make myself throw up any food I had eaten for Breakfast and for Dinner. Lunch was mainly always skipped, if anything I ate a piece of fruit. Nobody knew about my secret and nobody ever would. I was still eating so nobody thought less of it but then everyone saw me loosing weight — they just attributed it to the fact that I was running twice a day, or at least that's what I told them. With the way my body is now, I couldn't run a mile to the store if my life depended on it.

I wanted to slap myself and kick my own ass for doing what I was doing to my body but I couldn't stop, the results were amazing. In three weeks, after school ended, I had gone from 175 lbs and a size 12 in pants to 155 lbs and size 8 in pants. Just to not be in the double digits anymore got me so excited because it was one step closer to my goal of a size 4!
