| 6 Weeks Later |I couldn't believe I was finally sitting in Lena's bedroom getting my hair and make up done by professionals as her wedding coordinators set up her big day in the backyard. Her and her soon to be husband, Zachary planned out their beautiful wedding to be in Lena's childhood home; well it was a borderline mansion but who was keeping track? Her parents worked hard in their company for what they had and what they were able to give Lena.
Six weeks went by in a flash and it still felt so surreal that we were 8 hours away from her finally walking down the aisle and becoming Mrs. Neilson — that was going to take some time to get used to but it made me all the more happy for her. Looking at her with a wide smile and a shaking leg I knew she was excited and nervous. I don't think she was nervous at all about marrying him, I knew she was confident, I think she was more nervous about the fact that something might go wrong.
These last six weeks she has been a total bridezilla and a total pain in the ass, as Ariel likes to so sweetly call her, right to her face! I laughed at the memory.
As her stylist pinned a strand of her dark brown locks in place on her head, Lena looked over at me with a smile "In case I haven't told you..." she began as my attention turned towards her "I really am happy your back with Tyler and you both are finally happy."
I smiled brightly and my heart warmed, honestly her saying that was all the reassurance I needed. Ariel had already accepted Tyler, not without threatening to cut his balls off and feed it to the K9 units dogs if he ever hurt me again, though and all that was left was Lena's acceptance and with those few words I knew she did.
"Thanks Le, that means a lot — " I was quickly cut off with a pointed finger from my best friend, the bride.
"But..." her tone turned into more of a warning one "If he dares to ever hurt you again, I will not hesitate to do much more than just punch him this time."
The memory quickly flashback in my mind to the day after Tyler and I had rekindled our relationship. We went out to dinner with Lena and the first thing she did when she saw him was throw a right hook at his face, to which he took like a champ and agreed that he deserved it. Although later that night, I was quickly tending to the large cut on his cheek, right below his eye. Apparently Lena had got him real good with her 4 carat diamond ring — thanks to Zachary.
I sighed but a smile was still lingering on my face "I promise you have my permission to do as you please with him if he ever fucks up so bad that his mistake is irrevocable." I swore in reassurance.
She glances over at me with a twinkle in her eye and a confident look on her features.
I couldn't help but giggle at her confidence but at the same time feel joyous of the fact that my strong willed best friend Lena would never change.
"Same ol' protective mother hen, Lena."
A smirk appeared on her perfectly pink glossy lips, as the girl behind her pushed another pin into the curls on her head "Damn strait, and that will never change Em." she quickly reached over and squeezed my hand tightly.
We shared a moment together as I smiled at her and she quickly gave me a wink before leaning back over to her side and allowing the girl to continue on her hair.
"You better get used to him Le, because one day Im going to marry that man." I told her confidently. The six weeks Tyler and I have spent together have been amazing and it was like we were never apart. I can safely say I have never felt so secure in a relationship and so strongly about my love for someone.
