A/N: I ended up adding this Pre-Prom chapter but I promise you'll love it! Next chapter is for sure at Prom and this is where things start to get heated! Cross your fingers for Emma and Tyler because they will need your help.

Emma's POV:

Prom day was finally here and truth be told I never thought I would be going to any of my proms, junior nor senior. Never did I think I would be going much less this excited about going. I felt like a giddy, normal teenage girl, happy to be in high school, happy to have such an amazing boyfriend - it also helped that he was easy on the eyes. But I just never thought that I would be in this position, in which I became the girl who smiled happily from ear to ear on her prom day waiting for not just her prom date but boyfriend to pick her up and treat her like a princess.

I sighed in content with a smile on my face. I never expected to be this happy, sometimes I wonder and I fear that everything seems too perfect and I seem too happy but I try to think positive and push all those negative thoughts aside. Tyler has given me the strength to be confident and happy. He's there to support me and show me love that no other boy has given me and for that I'm so thankful for.

We had just gotten back to my house after a long and eventful afternoon at the mall? Why the mall? We woke up bright and early and before anything we went out to eat breakfast and spend some quality girls time before fussing and stressing over the beauty regimen for prom. After breakfast is when our pre-game for prom began, so to speak.

We got our manicures and pedicures done followed by our hair and makeup. The process of all four things, between the three of us, took a surprising four hours! Never have I spent so much time and money getting myself ready to look like a runway model - well hair and makeup wise, my body was far from that, not the Tyler was complaining. I smiled at the thought.

"We have exactly two hours and counting before the guys get here and we have to head out..." Lena began glancing at the flashing time on her cellphone.

"Technically about an hour because If I know my mom, which I do," I rolled my eyes with a smile "She is going to want to take more pictures than necessary."

"Yeah well, your lucky your mom is here to do that!" Lena exclaimed with a sigh "My parents are out of town on business again."

I titled my head sympathetically "Sorry Le..." Lena's parents were almost always away on business, they were the owners of Anderson Marketing Co. They created and built it from the bottom up, they did it all with dedication and hard work and that's why Lena doesn't let it get to her that her parents are rarely there to see special moments in her life, she knows they are out there working their asses of to give her the life they never had, the life they believe she deserves.

She shrugged and tried to play off her pain with a smile "Its fine, I'm going to bombard their phones with pictures!"

Ariel shook her head with a giggle "Trying to make them tired of you before graduation?"

Lena rolled her eyes and shot Ariel a playful glare "Shut up!"

I laughed softly at the two bickering nonsense but soon turned my attention to Ariel "What about you Ari? Your dad working again tonight?"

She sighed and gave a understanding smile "Yeah, he felt horrible he had to miss my first prom but he promised he would be there for my senior."

Ariel also came from a single parent household but not for the same reason I did. Her mother left her and her father when she was just a baby, at three years old. The worst part, she left them for a famous soccer player who had a lot more money. There were days where we would still walk in on Ariel crying with a picture of her mother in her hands asking why did she do it? Did she not care about her own daughter? Did she never think of her?
