"So..."
I was NOT wanting my day to go this way. Being stuck in one of Gansey's lectures means two things. One: boring as heck, and two: it would make you feel so guilty. Like, no joke, he was good at that.
"You disobeyed my request and went to Adam's by yourself, then ignored Ivy's warnings about going alone?"
I stayed quiet. I was sitting on my bed, with Gansey towering over me. To be honest, it was pretty frightening. We moved from the foyer to my room in case Ronan wanted to come down for a snack or something.
"The only reason why I did it," I started, ", is because it felt nice without you breathing down my neck! You control everything I do!"
Gansey's face held shock and hurt. "I do not control you! I just want to keep you safe!"
I stood up from my bed. " "Keep me safe"? Just like you won't let me go to the mall without an escort? Or how about that time I wanted to go get ice cream and went out, and you called me, like, twenty times asking where I was?!"
My voice was risen now. That wasn't good, because knowing Gansey, he would do the same.
"Is it a crime wanting to make sure my little sister is safe and sound?!" I was right.
"I'm not your little sister! I was born ten seconds after you Gansey, not a year! You don't get special privileges for me!"
"Dad gave me orders—"
"It doesn't matter what Dad said, Richard. Unless I'm mistaken, my feelings matter more than orders!"
Gansey was red-faced and mad. So was I. We didn't fight often, but when we did, it was ugly.
He stuck his finger in my face and said, "Your feelings are not my top priority, your safety is! I don't want you going all willy-nilly while there's an obvious ley line here!"
I scoffed, "And you just assume that I'd act crazy if I was allowed to do things on my own?! No wonder Ronan does things like he does!"
It was quiet. My hands were balled into fists, as were Gansey's. I finally spoke, "Get out."
Gansey didn't reply. He just walked out the door, not bothering to close it.
There I was, tears building up in my eyes, all alone in my room. I heard stomping footsteps go up the stairs and a slam from a door (did I mention my room was on the first floor?).
I just stood there. After five minutes, I heard footsteps trot down the stairs. From my door frame, I saw the worn out leather jacket of Ronan. When he came down all the stairs, he turned to my room, and saw me, red eyed and all.
He immediately went to my room and wrapped an arm around my shoulder leading me to the front entrance. "Let's go for a walk, how does that sound?"

Ronan Lynch was infatuated with a lot of things. Alcohol, tattoos, Chainsaw, those things. Most of all, however, he was crazy about the girl who he called his best friend.
Sometimes, he would stay awake, thinking about how (Y/N) would sweep her hair away from her face. How her face would scrunch up when she was confused. She was freaking adorable in Ronan's eyes.
However, right now, as Ronan was walking with (Y/N) across the sidewalk next to 340 Sky Road, he could only label her as one thing: amazing.
Her eyes and face were red, and her hair was glistening in the orange-pinkish sunset, downing upon Henrietta.
Ronan had his arm over her shoulder, (Y/N) leaning her head on his. They had been walking for about ten minutes before Ronan spoke, "What happened?"
(Y/N) sighed and opened her eyes. "Gansey and I got into a fight. It was stupid really. Well, I don't know..."
Ronan was trying not to go hey wire. Her voice was quiet and delicate, as if speaking any louder would cause her to shatter.
"I see. How about we run by that ice cream joint you like? Would that cheer you up?"
(Y/N) went silent, then nodded, a sad little nod that made Ronan's heart leap.
Ronan was completely obsessed and in love with (Y/N) Gansey.
