Percy takes up a job at the pool over the summer as a lifeguard. There is a dramatic increase of people pretending to drown in order to be saved by the hot lifeguard.
Percy has not caught on to why people are "drowning" at an alarming rate and decides to host a swim class. For some reason, there is a dramatic increase of people who suddenly don't know how to swim.
