"Eomma, Appa wake up." Kihyun grumbled but stayed asleep. Hyunwoo woke up as the toddler kept poking his face. "Yes Changkyun." He sighed. "Appa the lights won't turn on." It was still dark out. The moonlight was the only light. Hyunwoo opened his eyes and turned over to the bed desk. The clock was blank. Nothing appeared on it. "The power went off. Go back to sleep Changkyunnie."

Hyunwoo was about to fall back asleep when Changkyun started sniffling. "I-It's dark a-a-and c-c-c-cold. A-A-Appa." Changkyun sobbed. The oldest sat up and reached for Changkyun. He was standing at the door since he couldn't find a way onto the bed. "The power just went out. It's okay Changkyun. Wanna go turn it back on." The toddler hummed and wiped his nose resting his head on the olders shoulder.

They headed to the basement and flipped a switch. "What is that." Changkyun asked. "It's a generator. When the power goes out we can just flip the switch and it turns on the house." A few seconds later the lights turned back on, and so did the heater. "Let's go back to bed huh." The toddler nodded and hummed. His breath was still a bit shaky. Hyunwoo walked back into the kitchen and looked at the clock.

4:27am

A loud bang made the toddler gasp and clutch onto Hyunwoos shirt. "You still sleepy." He asked. Changkyun shook his head. "Scared." He mumbled. Hyunwoo thought for a minute. He knew Changkyun wouldn't go back to sleep without someone there. He didn't want to risk Kihyun waking up since he'd been sleeping for less than 3 hours. "Let's try and go back to sleep okay." Hyunwoo walked to Changkyuns room which was semi close to his.

He set the toddler in his comfy bed and sat down in the rocking chair next to it. "Appa lay with Changkyun." Hyunwoo shook his head. "It's too small. I'm fine here. Go back to sleep." A flash of light and a loud bang made Changkyun scream and cry. "Shhh don't wake your eomma up. I'm right here. Don't be afraid of the thunder. It can't hurt you." Changkyun got off his bed and onto Hyunwoos lap.

Cuddling into him and closing his eyes. "Oh I almost forgot." He mumbled and crawled down. He grabbed a large blanket and came back. "Incase appa gets cold. Changkyun does not want appa cold." Hyunwoo smiled at that and grabbed the blanket. It was indeed a bit chilly but he didn't mind. "We can both use it." He picked Changkyun up and put the blanket over them.

"Comfy." Hyunwoo asked. Changkyun nodded and snuggled back into his lap. Then went to sleep. Hyunwoo waited a while before falling asleep.

The light shined bright waking Kihyun. He sat up and yawned. He could hear the heavy rain from outside and turned to his side. The bed was empty. The spot where Hyunwoo laid was cold. Meaning he hadn't been there in a while. The clock on the bed desk read.

8:26AM

So he looked around for the crutches but couldn't find them. Remembering Hyunwoo carry him from Changkyuns room to theirs. He took a deep breath and got out of bed. Limping the best he could and using the wall the best he could to get to Changkyuns room. When he opened the door his heart melted. Seeing Hyunwoo asleep with Changkyun.

He hoped everyday could be like this. Waking up and finding the love of your life with your child in their arms asleep. Kihyun stood there smiling and admired the scene. His mind went to what Hyunwoo said the night before, but was it safe. So many people were after them, even relatives. The many possibilities, good and bad.

What if he delivered a new baby and was taken from his arms by a bad guy. What would he do then. Hyunwoo would stop at nothing to get their baby back. Even if it meant being killed and Kihyun knew that. Wiping away the fallen tear Kihyun sniffled and noticed Hyunwoo shift. The blanket fell off his shoulder and revealed Changkyun more. Limping over he reached to fix the blanket.

But was stopped when Hyunwoo held a knife up to his throat. "K-Kihyun I-I'm so sorry." Instantly Hyunwoo dropped it to the floor. Kihyun backed up and fell to the floor shocked. Hyunwoo stood up placing Changkyun in his bed making sure he didn't wake up. Next he got on his knees and made sure he didn't hurt the younger.

Apologizing like crazy. "Babe I'm so so so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I gotta always stay on guard even when I'm vulnerably sleeping." Kihyun shook his head. "I-I'm okay. J-Just a bit shocked is all. Help me up." Hyunwoo helped him up and grabbed his crutches. "You should go back to bed. I'll make something for breakfast." He kissed the youngers cheek. "I'm not that hungry. I was just looking for you. Come back to bed please."

The older nodded lightly and took a deep breath. He walked with Kihyun back to the bedroom. Hyunwoo felt beyond guilty for what he did. No one has attacked him when he slept for a while and in the new house he wouldn't have to worry about it. He'd woken up from creaks on the ground and a weird limp walk. He should have known it was Kihyun.

The younger must be so frightened, terrified of him even. "Why is it so cold." Kihyun shivered. He huddled in the blankets. Snapping Hyunwoo out of his thoughts. "I-I'll go and turn up the heater." Kihyun reached over and pulled on Hyunwoos shirt. "Stay here. I don't want a heater making me warm. I want you."

Hyunwoo nodded and got under the covers. Taking a deep breath he wrapped his arms around Kihyun as the younger snuggled up to him. "I'm willing to try if you promise to keep us safe." Hyunwoo didn't understand what the younger was talking about. He hummed a questioning voice. "A-Another baby. I've always wanted a big family of my own, but I can't if we're being hunted like animals."

Hyunwoo nodded. "I won't let anyone hurt you." The next words made Kihyuns heart sink sadly. Knowing how much Hyunwoo cared. "I'll do anything to keep you and our future family safe."
