Chapter 16

Cameron's POV:

After round 3 we all gather by the cooler to get some water. "You did well today, winning is always good, we are going into the higher groups now though so if you really want to win these basement battles you have to be focused!" Tyler says. I have never seen him so worried about not winning before, he is usually all smiles. The whole group is. "At practice we have to be a little more serious too," he adds. "Ok who wants to lead the chant?" "I will," Lauryn says pushing back her hair. We all put our hands in as Lauryn yells "ONE TWO THREE... XMOB"

I sit on the cooler to take a breather. "Aye, you ok Truth?" Tyler says and sits next to me on the cooler. "Yea I'm fine," I say and look up to flash a Truth smile. "Oh alright you seemed a little down you weren't talking or any of that you know? And your mom was mentioning to my mom about girl troubles," he says. I got a mini heart attack when he said girl troubles. "I don't have girl troubles I have a million fans with a million fan pages wanting to date me, why would I have girl troubles?" I say a little vainly. "Well sometimes the right one won't just see you as a celebrity. Is that her over there? The one waiting for you?" He asks. I look up to see Alexya almost pedal on her bike away. "You know what just go get her, and don't try to charm her by being famous, be your self," he pats me on the back then walks away. I run to catch up to Alexya before she pedals away.

Alexya's POV:

I'm about to step on the bike pedal then I hear a warm voice behind me. "Alexya!" He says in a shouting tone but not very loud. I turn around to see Cameron. "Cameron..." I say. "Um...I just wanted to ask if you wanted to...see where we practice?" He says. Excitement fills me, I think I like XMOB. "Yes!! Your dance team is amazing. All very talented and so much more," I say at him. "Oh great, do you wanna park your bike here so we can walk there," he asks. "Oh yea of course," I say. I hop off the bike then lock it onto the bike rack. "Hey mom, Alexya and I are going to the hospital," he says to his mom. Hospital?! They practice at a hospital? "Sure honey," she says.

As we walk off I question the thought about going to a hospital. "So... Do you guys really practice at a hospital?" I ask. "Of course not, we named our practice place the hospital bc that's where babies are made, but ours is where talent is made," he says. "That's clever," I smile. I never thought he could have such a brain.

Tyler's POV:

Me and Taj secretly follow Truth and his friend to the hospital. Just to spy, if she breaks his heart or anything. It's so hard to see him grow up so fast and having his first, if this works out, girlfriend. We are a good distance away from them but we still hear what they are saying. "Wow...I never thought Truth could handle all this flirting, I would have guessed he'd be in a pool of sweat by now," Taj whisper. "Shut up they could have heard you," I say. I see Truth open the door to the gym, then gets in the elevator with her to go downstairs to the hospital. We hit the elevator button then go down to the hospital after them. Emediatly we hide behind the small benches. "So you dance as well?" Truth says. "Yea," the girl laughs. "Well can you do this?" Truth asks as he does a back hand spring. She does a perfect one after him. "Woah..." Taj says. I slap him to shut up. "Good good...but what about this," Truth does a back flip. "That's too easy," she says and does a back flip. For the next 30 minutes they keep showing each other tricks they can do. I can't really hear what they are saying so I lean in a bit. "Thanks Alexya...for everything..." Truth says. She looked confused at what he said. Then Truth does something I have never ever seen him do, he kisses her on the cheek. She looks a little sad when he does. "Aw man he should have went for the mouth," I whisper to Taj. He nods. She touches the cheek that he kissed with the palm of her hand. She didn't look like she liked it. I thought she was going to choke him when she came at him with both her arms. Then I thought she was going to hug him bc she put them around his neck. But then she kisses him, on the lips! "Awwwww shoot...." Taj says as his jaw drops. I count the seconds they have been kissing, it stops at 6. "Sorry I had to do that..." She looks embarrassed and backs away.

But Truth just comes closer. "And I have to do this," he says and pulls her in for another kiss. Me and Taj get too excited. We lean closer to see the kiss better but accidentally knock the bench over. Truth and the girl turn around really quickly at us then get off of each other. They look like it never happened. But they look emmbarassed to know that we were watching. "What are you doing?!?" Truth yells trying to avoid that we saw the kiss. Then we hear the elevator door open. "Quick behind the bench!" Truth yells to the girl. We pick up the bench and all hide behind it. It was a janitor but we still hide. "What were you doing?" Truth whispers. "Well...we sort of followed you, but we weren't trying to invade your personal space," I whisper back. "You invaded my personal life!" Truth says really upset. Before I can talk Taj says, "what the heck are you talking about boy? We are your personal life son," he says then pats Truth on the back. "But you aren't my love life," he says back. He turns away from us to talk to the girl. I soon find out her name is Alexya. Truth looks really upset with his head buried on her shoulder. Alexya is patting his back and saying "don't be upset..it could have been Jeff." He still looks very upset. He doesn't talk to me or Taj. "Hey man we are really sorry, I would let you spy on me and my girlfriend, but I don't really have one," Taj says. Truth laughs a little, you can tell because his shoulders are moving up and down. He gets up. "It's alright," he high fives me and Taj. "Now that's what I'm talking about," I say. "Now it smells like crap in here let's get out," Truth says.
