I posted my letter on my wall facing my bed. My love letters have always been addressed to the one and only guy for me - Iranz He has never left my heart.
The letter is not the only thing attached on the wall. It has been placed with so many sketches and paper cuts ever since I started learning art. Aside from that, I also have my sketches of my long lost best friend- Skeleton, my family, and some of the things that I consider precious.
"Tapon mo na ang mga yan. Ang kalat kalat na ng kuwarto mo," buti nalang nakailag ako. Kung hindi ay nabatukan na ako ng todo.
Nagsalita na nga ang reyna ng bahay namin, my beautiful mother. I acquired from her the beauty that I possess. Hindi naman sa nagyayabang ako but she really is the most beautiful woman I have ever met. She is not just beautiful from the outside but also from the inside.
"My, may sentimental value lahat 'yan. Di ko po kayang itapon lahat ng pinaghirapan ko, noh " sagot ko.
"Oh edi ayusin mo pagkakalagay diyaan. Para kasing basurahan tong kuwarto mo."
I knew it. May komentaryo talaga si Mommy tungkol sa lahat ng ganap sa buhay ko, naturally.
I started to put some of the drawings in my box. Habang kinukuha ko isa isa ay may isang drawing sa sahig which caught my attention. As I bow down my head to look at it, kinuha ko ang papel at tiningnan ang drawing. I smiled because of what I saw.
It is my drawing of a young pig carrying a skeleton upwards. "How I wish I could bring back time."
I placed it back on the wall and continued putting some of the sketches on the box.
"Kalbo," bungad sa akin ni kuya. Kuya Elrick the prince. The frog prince ika nga ni Mommy.
"Ano?" I did not bother to look at my kuya. Ipinagpatuloy ko ang pagliligpit ng mga drawings ko. Ayokong pansinin ang mga kawalang hiyaang gawi niya na araw araw bumubungad sa amin.
"Kailangan mo tong makita." Ibinigay nya sakin ang cellphone niya na nakaopen sa Instagram.
I was surprised nang makita ko ang post ni Tita Ninang. She posted her pic with her new puppies.
"New members of the family," ika niya sa post.
"Nagwagi tayo kalbo! Akala ko hindi na magkakaanak si Ringgo eh," patalon-talong sambit niya.
Ringgo is our pet before when Dad was still here. Dinala siya ni Tita Ninang abroad para doon makapagsettle at baka sakaling makapagpa anak ito.
Sabi kasi ng veterinarian, wala na daw'ng tyansa na makapagpa-anak si Ringgo dahil sa hormonal abnormalities nito. Ito daw ay dahil sa mga mutational errors na nangyari nung siya ay nasa sinapupunan pa ng kaniyang ina. How sad could it be for him to not have an offspring? Pero nawala ang bangungot na iyon ng malaman nalang naming may anak na siya.
"Sabi ko na eh, very good talaga ng alaga namin," dagdag ni kuya.
"Hmph di rin naman dadalhin ni Tita Ninang yan," sambit ko habang sinasara ang lalagyan.
"Okay lang. As soon as we move to Australia, makikita din natin siya and his new babies," aniya.
"Oo nga eh. I can't wait to finish my first 2 years in college," sabi ko.
Hindi talaga ako makapaghintay na pumunta sa Autralia kasama ang buong pamilya ko. I hope this will happen kasi isa sa mga pangarap ko ang makapunta don.
"Pero may mas dapat kang malaman."
"Ano?" I asked after putting the box in my cabinet.
"Tumawag si Claire at sabi niya, mag shooting na daw kayo," paalala ni kuya.
Tsk, oo nga pala. Alam kong ako lang ang may biyaya sa SOBRANG kagandahan pero minsan sumosobra na sila. Ako na lang kasi parati ang bida. As always, ako naman talaga.
"Pero teka? Tumawag si Claire? Sa'yo?"
"Eh-em. My? Ano nga 'yong pinabibili mo?" Nagmamadaling lumabas si Kuya.
"Tss! Wala namang something sa kanila, noh? Hmm," bulong ko sa sarili.
Nagpatuloy ako sa pagligpit nang malinis na din ang kuwarto ko. By the way, I am Aya Gemini Laurel currently taking Fine Arts at Robertson University. My dream has always been to become an artist - a very famous one. If one day, God allows me, I would draw the lines and color the shapes that my hand makes with a happy heart. Forever.
