daniel was working on a new technique for his powers. he created a ball with one hand and threw it at a target. then he made his entire arm into a fire and wrapped it around a dummy's neck. he jumped and twisted his body.
he shot another ball at another dummy and landed on his feet. he shot another ball behind him and it took out the last dummy.
he was startled as the door slammed open. daniel looked up at the door while panting. jack stormed in and started phasing. daniel ran over and gripped the boy's hips.
his hands kept fading into his body and then back on his hips. it creeped the brunette out a bit.
"jack listen to my breathing. what's wrong?"
"i-i saw something, daniel! it was a black figure! i couldn't understand it and when i snuck up on it, i-it saw me! he said my name and then shot at me. it went through me and he seemed startled. he ran and then i heard howling! i don't know what to do!"
a long howl could be heard and everyone seemed to be alert. jonah and corbyn were both standing near the living room when daniel and jack arrived. zach sat on his knees and held a collar in his hands. daniel felt the rage fill his body. his hands warmed just a bit.
"someone took ryan."
