jack lightly picked up ashley in his arms while jonah carried corbyn. daniel picked up zach and carried him while jordan walked behind them. jordan, ashley, corbyn, and zach were all carried to the infirmary.
the other three walked to ron's office.
"what the hell happened?" the red head asked.
"corbyn went in as planned, but ashley was shot. zach lunged forward and got shot multiple times. ashley died, but jordan is safe in the infirmary. corbyn i'm guessing was hit upon the head multiple times." jonah fluently replies and jack's surprised by it.
none of the others would be able to do that if they tried. they'd break halfway through.
"damn. are you three okay?" they all nodded, jack included, but he was not. when he left the room he quickly walked to his room and pressed his hand to his side.
it shocked his hand and his side faltered. it appeared and then disappeared. he groaned.
"fuck!" he yelled. he couldn't see the device, therefore, he couldn't get it out. daniel rushed in and gasped.
"jack, where is you side?"
"there, but not there. dani, burn my side."
"are you fucking nuts?" he asked and walked forward.
"just trust me, or i'll get jonah to shock me with a lighting bolt." he replied and daniel frowned before flame erupted on his palm.
"this'll hurt." he warned.
"fuck, just do it." jack ground his teeth when daniel's palm pressed against his side. he clenched his jaw to keep the scream in. then daniel pulled away. a small device was in his hand and jack's side was normal. daniel saw the skin was charred slightly.
"oh my god." jack shook it off and picked up the technology. he examined the piece. he limped to ron's office and set it down.
"jack, your side-"
"whatever, but this, is what i wanted." jack pointed to it.
"what is it?"
"it controls my powers. it should still work. i found out about it today when we were at the base. i've had that since before i got here." jack knew he's had it and it was one of the main reasons his powers were controlled.
"i'll get this to the lab." ron said and bagged it. "for now, go be with zach and ryan." he nodded and walked off. he was free.
