jack sat with zach cradled to him. jonah was soon approaching the truck. he placed corbyn down and hopped in the driver's seat since daniel clearly couldn't.

he drove off and the whole ride was silent. they arrived at the base and jonah carried corbyn in.

"guys, wha-corbyn..." ron trailed off.

"get jordan." jonah simply said and jack saw the pain in him. corbyn wasn't just a boyfriend to jonah. he was a brother, a teammate, a best friend, an enemy at one point too.

jack rubbed his back once he set corbyn down. jack turned jonah to him and hugged him. jonah broke down again and started crying. jordan came in and everyone heard him gasp. jonah immediately turned to him and brought the boy into a hug.

jack walked to daniel's side of the room where he lay. his back was to corbyn and he was sniffling. they all knew daniel was the closest to corbyn. jack sat down and rubbed his back.

he felt his own tears drop. they all lost a friend - family - that day. corbyn was family and it killed them all to say goodbye.

"he was so younge." ron murmured as he looked at corbyn's pale body. jack let his head hang - they all did.

"we'll hold a ceremony." they all nodded.

"there were hostages. are they free?" zach asked and ron nodded. jack laid down behind daniel and rubbed his side.

"i'm sorry, dani." he rolled over and just hid his head in jack's chest. jack let him sob into his chest. jonah left the room, svea following him. ryan walked in and walked to zach. jack turned and watched them.

"he's gone, ryan." zach spoke softly and the boy let out a broken sob. "he said he loves you." then jack let out a sob. they all did really.

"we'll never forget you, corbyn." ryan spoke gently and jack cried harder into daniel's hair while daniel cried harder into his chest.
