Track Meet Accident (Ponyboy)

~Pony's P.O.V~
Today I have a track meet and I'm super excited. My girlfriend (y/n) is coming to watch me. I head to my locker after the last bell. (Y/n) is standing next to my locker, her face stuck in a book. She looks so cute when she is concentrating because she scrunches her nose.
"Hey (y/n)" I say as I get to my locker. She nods at me and continues reading.
"What you reading" I ask as I grab my stuff and shut my locker.
"My chemistry textbook, I have a big text next week and I can't fail it." She says. I pull the book from her and she give me a pouty face.
"How about this I'll help you study if you put the book down for a bit, I can tell your getting frustrated."
"Ok" she says giving my a peck on the cheeks.
"I gotta go change, you head to the track and I'll see you there." I say as I walk away.
"Ok" she says.

I head to the locker room and change into my uniform. Once I'm done I head out to the track with the rest of my team. We all stretch and do a warm-up lap before the other team gets here. When the other team gets here they warm-up. I watch the other team warm up. They are really good, actually the best team in the league and we are a close second. As I watch a pair of arms rap around me, I turn my head and it's (y/n).
"Hey" I mumble still watching the other team. She turns me around.
"Look at me you guys are so much better then this team you are gonna kill them ok."
"Ok" I say my hands shaking a bit. She takes my hands
"Your gonna do great, the whole gang is here except Darry but I told them not to come over because it would just freak you out even more."
"Thanks" I say giving her a peck on the lips.
'THE HURDLES EVENT WILL START IN 2 MINUTES, RUNNERS PLEASE MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE START' the announcer says.
"I gotta go I love you" I say.
"I love you too, your gonna do great" she says as I walk away.

I head to the start. I'm the only hurdler on the team and there are 3 from the other team. I check them out, I think I can beat all of them.
'Runners get in your starting positions' the ref says. We all get in our stands and then the gun pops. I sprint away. As I come to the first hurdle I'm in the lead. I continue to jump over hurdle after hurdle. I don't know what happened but on one of the last few hurdles my foot gets caught and I fall. There is a big ooooo from the crowd but I get back up and continue. I end up still coming in second place some how. (Y/n) and Two-Bit run over to me.
"You ok" (y/n) asks. I nod my head. But then I suddenly feel hot and light headed. My body starts to sway and I lean into Two-Bit who lowers me to the ground. I look down at my leg and notice my whole leg it scraped,bleeding, and swollen as well as my shoulder. My vision is blurry and the pain is horrible.
"Pony, pony can you hear me" Two-Bit asks. I nod my head slowly. The coach comes over and looks me over and says some stuff but I can't hear him. Then Two-Bit picks me up and carries me to his truck. He lays me in the back seat with (y/n). She runs her fingers through my hair. I feel so tired so I fall asleep in her arms.

~(y/n) P.O.V~
I hold Pony in my arms. When he fell it was like slow motion. Two-Bit speeds home. When we get there he takes Pony out of my arms and rushes him inside with me right behind him. Darry rushes straight to Pony.
"What happened" he asks as he takes Pony out of Two's arms. We explain what happened and Darry cleans Pony up. As he is finishing up his leg Pony starts to wake up. I rush over to him.
"Hey Pony, how you feeling."
"Tired" he mumbles.
"What happened" he asks looking at his bandaged leg.
"You fell at your track meet today, but your ok just busted up your leg and shoulder" I explain.
"Ok" he says as he starts to fall asleep again, he must have really worn himself out. I give him a kiss on the cheeks and he smiles.

~A/N
OMG that was so bad. Please don't come at me if some of the track stuff is wrong, I don't run track (I hate running but I do play softball fun fact) but this happened to a friend of mine and I got this idea. I hope you liked it.
